Some children are born needing specialised cleft care.
For them, simple moments many take for granted like breathing, eating or speaking can be a daily challenge.

Behind every case is a child, a family, and a journey that requires care, patience, and support.

At the Wentworth Foundation, we walk that journey with them.
Through ongoing, multi-disciplinary care, we help give each child the opportunity to grow, thrive and smile with confidence.

Because every child deserves that chance.

Cleft care is a journey-one that takes time, care, and unwavering support. 💙

Children born with cleft conditions often face challenges with feeding, speech, hearing, and confidence. For many families, the journey can feel overwhelming.

At the Wentworth Foundation, we walk this journey alongside them-working with dedicated medical professionals to support each child over time, in an environment of care, strength, and hope.

✨ Because every child deserves the chance to smile with confidence-and to create a brighter future for themselves and their community.

🌍 In 1991, Dr. Sikki (Surandar) Singh became one of the first Black Orthodontists in Durban.

What began as a small clinic treating 15–20 patients a month grew into The Wentworth Foundation — a registered NGO and PBO providing free, life-changing care for children with cleft lip, palate, and craniofacial anomalies.

Today, the Foundation stands as a beacon of hope, recognized with multiple national and international awards for its impact. 💙
