Daily News Milk Fund We are a community and business-funded NPO providing thousands of underprivileged children with a nutritious breakfast of milk and porridge.

Our mission is to ensure every child starts their day with essential nutrition. The Daily News Milk and Welfare Fund is over 75 years old with the sole purpose to feed under privileged children at creches and pre-schools in Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa. The Fund supplies milk, milk powder and high energy porridge to legitimate and vetted organisations. All funds are generated from the public and b

usinesses - no funding comes from Independent Newspapers (the owners of the Daily News newspaper). The fund has a Public Benefit Organisation (PBO) number and large donations by individuals and business enterprises are tax deductible as the fund does issue PBO certificates. The fund has a board of 7 members, is audited annually by Price Waterhouse Coopers and holds an AGM where all interest parties are welcome to attend. World Milk Day (June 1st 2026) with Heart and Purpose! 🥛✨

We are absolutely thrilled to announce the start of an amazing partnership with the Imbumba Foundation!

To kick off this journey, we spent a wonderful day at the Ningizimu Special School. It was an honour to connect with the learners & staff, and we were so happy to provide them with:

•Vital Nutrition: Fresh, nourishing milk and porridge to fuel their days.
•Dignity Packs: Essential supplies to support the students’ well-being.
•Wishlist Items: Specialized items requested by the school to help make their daily learning environment even better.

Seeing the smiles and the incredible spirit of the Ningizimu community truly highlights why this partnership is so important. We are committed to making a tangible difference, and we know this is just the beginning.
