💚 Help Us Equip Rural ECD Centres with the Resources They Need 💚

Every child deserves the opportunity to learn, play and thrive.

At Feed the Babies Fund, we support rural, unfunded Early Childhood Development (ECD) Centres across KwaZulu-Natal. While our dedicated practitioners work tirelessly to give young children the best possible start, many of these centres don't have the basic educational resources needed to create stimulating learning environments.

We're asking our community to help provide essential items that will make a real difference in the lives of preschool children.

Every donation, big or small, helps us create safe, engaging spaces where children can learn through play and develop the skills they need for school and beyond.

We recently had the privilege of hosting our Orientation and Creche Management course at Feed the Babies Fund Training Centre. This intensive 3-day course equips ECD practitioners with the essential knowledge and practical skills needed to confidently manage and operate an Early Childhood Development Centre while creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for preschool children. Sibongile Groenink - Operations & Training Centre Manager, delivering her input on professionalising ECD Training in under-resourced ECD Centres. The Feed the Babies Fund provides accredited, skills-based Early Childhood Development (ECD) training to practitioners and caregivers from rural, under-resourced ECD Centres across KwaZulu-Natal. Our programme equips participants with practical teaching skills, child development knowledge, classroom management techniques, nutrition awareness, and compliance training to improve the quality of early learning environments.

Through professionalised training, ongoing mentorship, and hands-on support, practitioners gain confidence, formal qualifications, and improved employment opportunities. The outcomes include enhanced teaching standards, better-prepared ECD centres, improved school readiness for preschool children, and stronger, more sustainable communities where young children can thrive.
