New voters are invited to visit their nearest voting station to register to vote, while existing voters are reminded to update their registration details.
You are eligible to register to vote if you are:
o A South African citizen;
o At least 16 years old (you can only vote from age 18); and
o In possession of a green bar-coded ID book, smart ID card or temporary identity certificate.

Eligible voters can register to vote or update their details using the official IEC online portal -
https://registertovote.elections.org.za which is available 24/7.
