Significance: Dhanteras is dedicated to Lord Dhanvantari, the god of Ayurveda and health. It’s also associated with wealth and prosperity, as it falls on the thirteenth lunar day of the month of Kartika.

Traditions: People traditionally clean their homes, buy new utensils, gold, or silver, and light lamps to invite prosperity and well-being.

Rituals: Many perform prayers (puja) and offer prayers for health and wealth, often setting up decorative rangolis and lighting diyas to celebrate the occasion.
