For more than six decades, Fulton School for the Deaf has been opening doors for deaf learners in KwaZulu-Natal.
Founded in 1959, after Mr and Mrs J.K. Fulton generously donated their property to establish a school for deaf children in Natal, Fulton began with just three learners. Today it stands as an important centre of learning where deaf children receive quality education in South African Sign Language, empowering them to grow, learn, and thrive.

What started with an information session quickly grew into a meaningful partnership. With facilitator Aaron Virasamy, โs educators have received training and mentorship in coding and robotics. What began with some understandable uncertainty has transformed into confidence and excitement - with ๐ฐ๐ผ๐ฑ๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ป๐ผ๐ ๐ฏ๐ฒ๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐๐ฎ๐๐ด๐ต๐ ๐ฎ๐ ๐ฝ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐๐ฐ๐ต๐ผ๐ผ๐น ๐๐ถ๐บ๐ฒ๐๐ฎ๐ฏ๐น๐ฒ ๐๐๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐๐ถ๐ด๐ถ๐๐ฎ๐น ๐๐ฒ๐บ๐ผ๐ฐ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ ๐ฐ๐๐ฟ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฐ๐๐น๐๐บ.
For deaf learners, who experience the world primarily through visual learning, coding and robotics offer a powerful and practical way to explore ideas, solve problems, and express creativity.
