National Child Protection Week

This week is National child Protection week, and every child’s safety and wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do. From 29 May to 5 June 2026, this annual campaign reminds us that protecting children from violence, abuse and exploitation is not negotiable – it’s a constitutional obligation. At MIET AFRICA we have spent 30 years protecting the rights of children and take this opportunity to reinforce our dedication. When children are safe and protected, they can thrive!

As South Africa celebrates 30 years of our constitution, making democracy a reality for millions, MIET AFRICA also marks this important milestone for democracy. For 30 years we have remained committed to advancing equality, dignity and opportunity for all children and youth. Today we celebrate the progress made and reaffirm our commitment to continue upholding and protecting their rights.

As we enter 2026, the Board and Leadership of MIET AFRICA wishes everyone a peaceful year- one filled with hope, collaboration & resilience, and support for each other and those we serve. May we all continue to thrive against the odds to bring our missions to life, bigger and better than ever.
We are beyond grateful to those that have supported us, our funders, friends and partners who sustained us and walked with us during a very challenging 2025. Without you we would not be able to transition into our 30th year with courage in our hearts and more determined than ever to make a difference. Thank you!
