Help Keep a Girl in School | Her Future. Her Right. Our Mission.

For 30 years, MIET AFRICA has worked alongside schools, communities and partners to help vulnerable girls overcome the barriers that prevent them from completing their education. Every donation helps provide life skills and leadership programmes, sexual and reproductive health education, mentorship, psychosocial support, and school-based interventions that keep girls safe, supported and in school. When girls stay in school, they are more likely to complete their education, access employment, earn sustainable incomes, raise healthier families and contribute to stronger communities and South Africa's future....

This Mandela Day our MIET AFRICA team members collected donations, rolled up their sleeves and, together with the centre founder, got to work in giving the Okuhle Care Centre some much needed TLC. Every brushstroke was made with one goal in mind - creating a brighter, safer and more welcoming space where little ones can learn, grow and thrive. A few treats were enjoyed too!
We were proud to once again honour Mandela's legacy, one act of service at a time.

National Child Protection Week

This week is National child Protection week, and every child’s safety and wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do. From 29 May to 5 June 2026, this annual campaign reminds us that protecting children from violence, abuse and exploitation is not negotiable – it’s a constitutional obligation. At MIET AFRICA we have spent 30 years protecting the rights of children and take this opportunity to reinforce our dedication. When children are safe and protected, they can thrive!
