We at Soroptimist International Durban, honour the legacy of Nelson Mandela who set a high standard of justice and compassion.
As a tribute to this great leader we mark the occasion of his birthday aptly named Mandela day , with our Blanket drive .

We at Soroptimist International Durban are guided by the words of Madiba himself.

Sorosptimist International Durban would like to sincerely thank Soroptimist International of Indian Rock for a wonderful opportunity extended to our Club President, Avasha Singh, as a special guest and present to their members.

It was truly an honor to connect, share, and engage with such an inspiring group of women committed to making a difference.

On Saturday, 7 March, SI Durban met for a team‑build, and we wore purple as a quiet promise: to turn rights into justice and words into action.
President Avasha Singh reminded us that sisterhood is the strength behind every promise we make to uplift women and girls, and we felt it as we gathered for reflection and painted our “Mandala of Sisterhood."

We honor women and girls everywhere not just today, but every day - by mentoring, listening, and building spaces where they can lead and thrive. That’s our spirit in motion.

Happy International Women’s Day to all women claiming their power and rewriting what’s possible. 💜
