New on GOB Adam Lipschitz

🇿🇦🔥 Adam Lipschitz breaks 2:08 for the first time!

"South African long-distance star Adam Lipschitz produced a sizzling 2:07:20 lifetime best to win the Kosice Marathon in Slovakia! 🏆🇸🇰

The 32-year-old delivered a superb performance to break the 2:08 barrier for the first time in his career, marking a major milestone in his running journey.

Interestingly, this wasn’t Lipschitz’s first experience of the Kosice Marathon. He has previously taken part in the race in a different role — serving as a pacemaker.

This time, however, he was the one leading the way to victory. "

IN MEMORY OF RON JURY | GLENWOOD CLASS OF 1966

The Glenwood Old Boys Association joins the Maritzburg College community in mourning the passing of Dudley Ronald “Ron” Jury, a Glenwood Old Boy of the Class of 1966.

Ron devoted 34 years of service to Maritzburg College, serving as its 14th Headmaster from 2006 to 2012. As a teacher, mentor and leader, he helped shape generations of young men—a legacy of service that we honour with deep respect.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, former colleagues and all whose lives he touched.

Rest in peace, Ron. Forever part of the Glenwood brotherhood.

The tradition continues.

On Friday, 6 November 2026, the Glenwood Old Boys return for the 3rd edition of our annual sporting social against the Glenwood Stayers.

Cricket. Basketball. Water Polo.
Fixtures start from 2PM, followed by drinks from 6PM at the Ivan Clark Pavilion.

Come down, support the boys, reconnect with old friends and enjoy an afternoon built around sport, camaraderie and Glenwood brotherhood.

4 Glenwood learners accompanied Mr Jordan to the annual Delville Wood Memorial Service held at the Durban Cenotaph. Two WWII 25 - pounder guns were fired during the service. They were inspected by the boys beforehand. From left to right: Diego Pretorius, Thabiso Manesse, Tupelo Mhlapo, Major Craig Nel, NFA (GOB 1985) & Kviolo Zak. A wreath was laid by the boys in memory of the 26 GOBs who died in WWI. "LEST WE FORGET. "
