Rules without relationship lead to rebellion." At Epic Youth Matters, we believe a young person only learns from those they trust. 🤝
In a world where many youth are targeted by those with bad intentions, building a "relational bridge" is a matter of safety. That’s why our Life Skills programme starts with genuine connection. We don't just teach a curriculum; we adapt to the heartbeat of the school to make sure every lesson sticks.
A massive thank you to the educators at 1 Bechet Secondary School for their continued trust! Together, we’re equipping learners with the tools to:
Identify grooming and unhealthy power dynamics.
Stand firm against bullying.
Deepen their self-awareness and future-proof their choices.

Ore is common..! Platinum is rare! YMOH Operation Extraction Camp just proved that our young men are the rarest asset we have. Every session was a confirmation; every breakthrough was Platinum Revealed. We're still proud that 90% of our extraction team (the leaders) started as ore themselves. Now, they are the ones revealing the value in others. 🔄

Loud. Rare. Refined. Don't just watch the update be part of the mission. 🌍 Department of Social Development

Prevention Starts with Childhood Intervention ✊
While the world observed , Epic Youth Matters, in partnership with RCA Emmanuel, took action on the ground.
Our kids holiday club programme was intentionally designed to address the root causes of GBVF. We know that the "harsh realities" children experience today often dictate their behaviors tomorrow. That’s why our curriculum focused on:
- Dismantling Entitlement: Teaching the value of consent and boundaries.
- Building Self-Esteem: Ensuring every child knows their worth.
- Addressing Bullying: Shifting from aggression to empathy.
- Encouraging male advocacy
Through the arts and honest dialogue, we are helping our youth "undo" learned behaviours, replacing them with tools for a healthy, respectful life.

A decade ago, she joined us for a week of fun at the Kids Holiday Club and has eventually become a team member. Fast forward to 2026, and she’s walked onto the Rhodes University campus to start her degree.

We couldn’t be prouder of her and the many young people from our programmes now studying at institutes nationwide. Your support helps us provide the foundation for these success stories.

Be part of the next chapter. Ask us how.

It is inspiring to see some of the highlights at our annual fundraiser at Suncoast Barnyard on 30th November. We are encouraged by our partners and dedicated supporters for the continuous ways in which you stand with us against , and assist us in empowering young people who can transform themselves, their schools, communities and a nation because they have been empowered and transformed. Your presence at our event motivates us to continue the difficult groundwork. We appreciate you. Thank you for making a difference.

Some serious planning has been going into our upcoming events during the against GBVF. 1st, our fundraiser at the Suncoast Barnyard on Sunday 30th November; fundraising to continue our fight to prevent GBVF amongst young people and children. You can still purchase a ticket for only R125 and join us to end Gender-Based Violence.

2nd, the Epic kids holiday club; our fun, programme for children during the school holidays. Also aimed at GBVF prevention, this time, for children.

Talk to us, if you would like to partner or support, and feel the deep fulfillment of bringing hope, where there was once destitution and devastation.
