TAFTA

TAFTA ‘To make dignity, growth and meaningful life a realistic prospect for all elders.’ Any comments identified as such will be removed from our platforms.

If you are over 60 and in need of help – with anything from applying for a State pension to accommodation or advice about services and facilities for the aged – TAFTA will help. We make no charge for Social Work consultations or visits, and if we can't help you ourselves, we can put you in touch with other people and organisations who can! It is our policy to do the greatest possible good for the

greatest possible number of people, with no thought of who deserves help, but only of who needs help. We encourage the elderly to live as independent members of the community in their own homes for as long as possible – and provide a number of support services to the elderly and their families in order to achieve this goal. Because we make no charge for Social Work services, and payment for most other services is on a sliding scale according to income, we rely heavily on support from the community. *ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY*
We promote values of: Trust, Accountability, Transparency, Care, Respect, Integrity, Purpose, Service, Compassion, Environment. We encourage all stakeholders in the spirit of these Values to support our Purpose: ‘To make dignity, growth and meaningful life a realistic prospect for all elders.’

These values are promoted through our work daily with our beneficiaries, stakeholders and general public and carried through to our messaging and advertising on print, broadcast, electronic and social media platforms. As such, The Association for the Aged, has a zero tolerance policy for any vulgar or rude, threatening, abusive, discriminatory, cyber bullying or harassing comments on all our platforms. Should the perpetrator persist, he or she will be blocked and reported. For enquiries or reporting please contact us on 0313323721 or email [email protected]

The session provided an opportunity to raise awareness about the rights, safety, and wellbeing of older persons, while encouraging open conversations about preventing and responding to elder abuse.

Together, we can build communities where older persons are valued, respected, and protected.

Our exercise group enjoys activities that promote physical wellbeing while keeping minds engaged and stimulated. We were delighted to have Dr Rama join our session and experience the energy and enthusiasm firsthand.

Let us continue to age with pride, dignity, and purpose. 💜
