Education is more than classrooms and textbooks — it is where young people begin shaping the kind of lives they will lead.

Through The Men Carve Programme, on Friday, 5 June, The Men Carve and Izithelo Ezinhle Youth Org., together with SA Harvest and the Black Coffee Foundation, visited Ngungwini Secondary School to engage learners on taking ownership of their choices, their future, and their personal direction in life. As part of the visit, we also donated jerseys, short pants, underwear, and other essential items to support learners during the winter season. In addition, we extended our support by providing food parcels, helping to meet some of the immediate needs of learners.

The Programme is designed to promote healthy manhood, responsible lifestyles, leadership, gender-based violence prevention, and positive decision-making among young people. We don’t just speak about ending GBV and building healthy manhood and lifestyles—we equip the next generation to live these values every day.

For primary and high schools, our LIVERESPECT™️ Healthy, Respectful Manhood Curriculum helps prevent bullying, violence, and unhealthy behaviours in school and sports environments. The programme equips coaches, teachers, mentors, and youth development practitioners with practical tools to develop young men into respectful, responsible, and principled leaders who make positive choices in their communities.

To every learner who showed up: your future is in your hands.

Our time at the school left us inspired by the determination and potential of these young people. It has also strengthened our desire to return and do even more. In the future, we would love to partner with individuals, organisations, and businesses who may wish to support school uniform initiatives for identified learners across different grades, as well as ongoing food parcel support for matric learners. Many Grade 12 learners rent accommodation near the school as they pursue their education, and together we can help create an environment that enables them to focus on their studies and achieve their goals.

A heartfelt thank you to SA Harvest and the Black Coffee Foundation for making this impactful day possible. Together, we continue to invest in the leaders of tomorrow.

Through The Men Carve Programme, on Thursday, 4 June, The Men Carve and Izithelo Ezinhle Youth Org., together with SA Harvest and the Black Coffee Foundation, visited Ubuhlebesizwe Secondary School to engage learners on taking control of their choices, their future, and their narrative. Thursday, 4 June, wasn’t just another day. For these little ones at Mbuyeni Primary School, it was Christmas in May. 🎁

Through The Men Carve Movement Programme and and Izithelo Ezinhle Youth Org., together with SA Harvest and the Black Coffee Foundation, we showed up with more than gifts. We brought hope, laughter, warmth, and the message that their dreams are valid—no matter their age.

Seeing their faces light up reminded us why we do this work: you shape a tree while it is still young. Ugotshwa usamila.

As we spent time with the learners, we were inspired by their resilience, potential, and joy. It also reminded us that there is still more we can do. Mbuyeni Primary School serves just 95 learners in the rural area of Ndwedwe, and we would love to return in the near future to support them further with school uniforms.

If you or your organisation would like to partner with us in making this possible, we would be grateful to connect. Together, we can continue investing in the future of these young leaders.

A heartfelt thank you to SA Harvest and the Black Coffee Foundation for making this impactful day possible. 💛🖤🤍

This past weekend, The Men Carve had the privilege of hosting a powerful engagement session with both our beneficiaries and potential beneficiaries.

It was more than just a meeting — it was a moment of reconnection and new beginnings. We intentionally created a space to rebuild relationships with those we have previously worked with, while also opening our doors to individuals who are joining our journey for the first time.

The conversations were honest, the energy was positive, and the commitment to growth and impact was clear from everyone present. This session reminded us that sustainable change is built on strong relationships, trust, and continuous engagement.

We are encouraged by the turnout and the willingness of young people to be part of a movement that promotes Healthy Mindhoods and actively addresses social challenges.

A successful meeting indeed — and just the beginning of greater impact ahead.

Happy Freedom Day, South Africa 🇿🇦

Today, we reflect on the journey of our nation — the sacrifices made, the progress achieved, and the responsibility we carry to build a better future for all.

At The Men Carve, we believe that true freedom goes beyond history. It lives in how we lead, how we treat one another, and how we actively stand against Gender-Based Violence by cultivating healthy, responsible men in our communities.

Let us continue to use our freedom to empower, uplift, and create safe spaces for everyone.

Freedom with purpose. Leadership with impact.🤍🖤💛
