💙 Thank You for Feeding 100 People Today 💙

A heartfelt thank you to an amazing anonymous family who came through today and blessed our community with 100 meals of sugar beans, fresh bread, and juice.

Your generosity brought comfort and hope to many individuals and families facing difficult circumstances. Seeing community members gathered and knowing that they would not go hungry today is a reminder of the impact a simple act of kindness can have.

Thank you for choosing to make a difference. May your kindness and compassion be returned to you abundantly.

🙏💙 Together, we continue to serve those in need.

💙 A Heartfelt Appeal for Warmth 💙

As we prepare for our Father's Day and Youth Day distribution, we are humbled to share that we currently have funding for only 5 blankets, while the need in our community is much greater.

Winter is especially difficult for many of the vulnerable fathers, youth, elderly persons, and families we serve. A single blanket can make a world of difference, providing not only warmth but also comfort, dignity, and hope.

If you are able to help, you are welcome to purchase a blanket and drop it off, or arrange delivery through a delivery app. For those who prefer not to make a bank transfer, blankets are currently on special at 2 for R200 and can be purchased directly and delivered to us.

We also gratefully accept gently used blankets, which will be distributed to families in need during the winter season. Please note that these blankets will be distributed separately through our winter relief programme.

Every act of kindness, no matter how small, helps us reach someone who may otherwise face the cold with very little. Every blanket donated brings warmth, comfort, and hope to someone facing the winter cold.

💙 I am available throughout the day today to receive donations, answer any questions, or assist with arrangements.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for standing with Acara Crisis Relief NPC and helping us bring warmth to those who need it most.

❤️ Share Warmth. Restore Dignity. Bring Hope.

🙏 A HUGE thank you to HEAL Foundation South Africa – HEAL Kitchen c/o Vidisha Benimadho for today’s meals! ❤️

On 11 June 2026, 6 × 20-litre buckets of soya with samp were successfully shared with residents of Clayfield and Stonebridge. 🍲❤️ Together, the meals provided approximately 600 plates of food for families in need.

Recipients collect the meals in 2-litre containers, which feed approximately 5 people per container.

A heartfelt thank you to Aunty Sewmuthria, my mother, and everyone who assisted with the feeding initiative. Thank you to my mother 🙏❤️ despite her health challenges, she still helps us fetch meals from Durban CBD and assist with distribution in Phoenix every week.

We are especially grateful to our sponsor who generously covered this week’s transportation costs. 🙏🚐

Every Thursday, we bring these meals from Durban CBD to Phoenix. Due to the recent fuel increase, our transport costs have increased. We are kindly seeking support to continue this vital service in the weeks ahead. If you can help, please contact 074 204 1395. 📞

✨ God bless everyone who played a part in making today’s initiative possible! Your support truly makes a difference. 🙌❤️

With heartfelt gratitude, we sincerely thank every donor and sponsor who continues to support our bread distribution initiatives. 🙏❤️ Your kindness continues to bring comfort, relief, and hope to families in need.

We humbly pray that Bhagwan blesses all our donors and sponsors with good health, happiness, success, peace, and endless blessings. ✨❤️

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for standing with us and helping keep this seva alive. Together, through compassion and unity, we continue making a positive difference in our community. ❤️🙏

Acara Crisis Relief NPC strives to provide vulnerable individuals and families with one loaf of bread per week and one cooked meal. A loaf of bread can last 2–3 days when stored properly, helping our elderly recipients avoid taking medication on an empty stomach. Cooked meals can also be frozen and enjoyed over several days, providing much-needed nourishment and relief.

To continue this vital support, we require R1,050 per week:

🍞 R650 for 50 loaves of bread
🚗 R400 for transport to collect cooked meals from Durban CBD every Thursday

While we run several community initiatives, our primary focus remains food security, ensuring that no one in our care goes hungry.

Any support, no matter how small, helps us continue feeding those who depend on this assistance. ❤️🙏🏻

🍚❤️ Today we celebrate the power of kindness and community.

A sincere thank you to Parshan Bhai c/o Food For Love Africa for donating 80 x 1kg packets of rice and 80 x 1kg packets of sugar beans to Acara Crisis Relief NPC.

These essential food items will go a long way in supporting vulnerable families and ensuring that many households have a meal to share. Acts of generosity like this remind us that when we work together, we can make a real difference in the lives of those facing hardship.

Thank you for helping us spread hope, one family at a time. May Bhagawan bless you and your family with good health, happiness, and abundant blessings. 🙏🏻❤️

You can sponsor a blanket in honour of a loved one, for a birthday or special occasion, or simply because, like us, you believe in serving humanity and making a difference. ❤️🙏🏻

💙 6 Years of Serving with Compassion 💙

In April 2020, during one of the most uncertain times in our country's history, Acara Crisis Relief NPC was born. What started as an emergency response to assist 50 families during the COVID-19 lockdown has grown into a lifeline for more than 120 households within our community.

For the past six years, we have walked alongside elderly pensioners trying to stretch their grants from month to month, persons with disabilities, struggling families, unemployed individuals, and many others facing hardship. Through food relief, bread distributions, emergency assistance, school support, and countless acts of kindness, we have done our best to ensure that no one feels forgotten.

But the reality is that the journey has become increasingly difficult.

While the need for assistance continues to grow, sponsorships and donations have steadily declined over the years. There are days when we struggle to fund even the smallest initiative. Something as simple as providing bread to families, covering transport costs to collect donations, or assisting a household in crisis has become a challenge.

The truth is, we cannot simply stop now. Over the years, many vulnerable families have come to rely on the support we provide. Not because they want to depend on charity, but because life has left them with few alternatives. Many of those we assist are elderly men and women in their 60s, 70s, and even 80s, living from pension day to pension day. Others are persons with disabilities or individuals facing circumstances beyond their control.

How do we tell an elderly pensioner to become self-sufficient when age and health no longer allow them to work? How do we ask someone in their later years to clean gardens, do manual labour, or collect scrap metal just to put food on the table? These are people who have worked hard throughout their lives and now deserve dignity, compassion, and support.

Every week, the requests for help continue. Every week, there is another family facing hunger, another elderly person living alone, another household struggling to make ends meet. Many people see the distributions and outreach programmes, but they do not always see the difficult reality behind the scenes—the constant worry of whether there will be enough resources to continue helping those who depend on us.

Yet we continue because we have seen firsthand the difference that a loaf of bread, a warm meal, or a small act of kindness can make in someone's life. We continue because turning our backs on those in need is simply not an option.

To every sponsor, donor, volunteer, and supporter who has stood with us over the past six years, thank you. Your generosity has helped us bring hope where there was despair, dignity where there was hardship, and comfort to those who felt forgotten.

Today, we humbly ask you to continue standing with us. Whether through a donation, sponsorship, sharing our appeals, or simply spreading awareness of our work, every contribution makes a difference.

Together, we can ensure that no one in our community is left behind.

With gratitude and hope,

🙏🏻 Acara Crisis Relief NPC

Serving our community with compassion, dignity, and humanity since 2020.💙 Six years later, the need has not disappeared. If anything, it has grown. With your support, we can continue being there for those who have nowhere else to turn. 💙
