2️⃣ Characters & Themes: For Paper 2, make sure you know the motifs and character development of your prescribed books and poems.

🚨 AFRIKAANS PAPER TIPS – MATRIC CLASS OF 2026 🚨
It is almost time to put pen to paper. Here is your ultimate guide to acing Afrikaans (Home Language or First Additional Language):

🎭 PAPER 2: Literature (Books & Poems)
• Keywords: Learn the correct Afrikaans literary terms (e.g., metaphor, comparison, personification).

🚨 AFRIKAANS VRAESTEL WENKE – MATRIEK CLASS OF 2026 🚨
🎭 VRAESTEL 2: Letterkunde (Boeke & Gedigte)

⏱️ CRITICAL TIME MANAGEMENT TIPS FOR MATRIC MATHS 2026 ⏳
Both Paper 1 and Paper 2 are 3 hours long (180 minutes) for 150 marks. That means you have exactly 1.2 minutes per mark.

If you spend 20 minutes stuck on a 4-mark question, you are stealing time from questions you can answer! Use this battle-tested strategy to beat the clock:

👇 How to Manage Your 180 Minutes:

• The 10-Minute Reading Time: Use this time to scan the entire paper. Identify the "easy" questions (like Question 1 algebra or basic statistics) and mentally plan your approach. Do not start writing yet.

• The 1-Minute Rule: If you have been staring at a question for 60 seconds and have absolutely no idea how to start, circle it and move on. Come back to it at the end.

• Secure the Easy Marks First: You do not have to answer the paper in chronological order. Start with the questions you are most confident in to build momentum and lock in points early.

• Watch the Mark Allocation: A 2-mark question only requires a quick calculation or a statement + reason. Do not write a whole page for it! Save that energy for the 7-mark unseen geometry riders or calculus optimization questions.

• The 15-Minute Buffer: Aim to finish the paper with 15 minutes left on the clock. Use this time to check for silly algebraic mistakes, missing units, or ungrounded geometry reasons.

💡 Pro-Tip: When practicing past papers this week, set a timer on your phone for 2 hours and 45 minutes to force yourself to work at exam pace!

4 contributory factors to unemployment locally and globally are

1) Economic recession.

2) Strict imposition of rules and regulations.

3) Increase participation in informal sector activities.

4) Rapid Technological change

Explanation:

1) Economic recession- In this period, businesses start losing money because there is less demand. To prevent further losses, companies and organizations start laying off their employees, creating higher levels of unemployment.

2)Strict imposition of rules and regulations- When there are loads of standardized inflexible rules and restrictions imposed on firms that discourage them from hiring, unemployed workers cannot get the job. This can be seen in European countries.

3) Increase participation in informal sector activities.- People working for jobs that don't provide regular stable wages, jobs on contract bases, casual laborers, street sellers, money changers, etc. can provide the individual money, shelter, or food but for a short period, and the job security is less, which can make them hassle between other jobs.

4) Rapid Technological change- In developing countries when the profile of job seekers cannot match the eligibility of the job in demand due to a lack of required technological skills, it leads to an increase in unemployed individuals who are not getting jobs because they are not in sync with the current technological advancements.
