Today one of our team members attended a training session focused on multigenerational leadership. This has really challenged us to think about what we are doing now and how it will impact our beneficiaries in the future. Neil Hart was the guest speaker; what a profound and powerful talk he gave! We are so grateful to him for passing on some much needed wisdom.
This is a topic we will definitely need to discuss further as a team.
Thank you to Nation Builder
for always organising excellent training sessions. You guys rock!

Two of the learners in our youth headed households are in matric this year, so we decided to buy them stationery as preparation for the testing period. We realized that some of them share stationery with other learners, as they don't buy enough to sustain them for the whole year. We know that this simple act will enable them to focus on exams and not worry about stationery.

All the best to our matriculants writing trials!

During our life skills sessions yesterday, we spoke about s*x and boundaries.
This is a really important topic as many teenagers can fall into the trap of engaging in risky behaviors without thinking of the consequences.

We want them to be able to understand that healthy boundaries can offer safety, trust and freedom.

We also spoke about God's design for s*x so that they will be able to make wise decisions that will be beneficial to their future.

There are homes where young people under 25 step up to care for their younger siblings. Strong, resilient, and often overlooked, but we see them!

By making a once off donation of R100 or more, we can help these households by buying them monthly food parcels to ease their burden.

R100 can make a huge difference!

On the 20th April 2026 we visited two primary schools in Cato Manor.
We handed out 50 pair of Bata school shoes to marginalised learners who really needed them. Watching their faces light up as they tried on their new shoes was priceless. We are so grateful to everyone who donated money to this worthy cause. Without you, it would not have been possible! Music: We Were Made For Adventure

"We live in a country where, according to our recent household food insecurity report, around 70% of our people are food insecure across South Africa. We've shown that in households, hunger is not episodic; it is chronic."
Quote from Andy du Plessis; Managing Director at FoodForward SA
