There are homes where young people under 25 step up to care for their younger siblings. Strong, resilient, and often overlooked, but we see them!

By making a once off donation of R100 or more, we can help these households by buying them monthly food parcels to ease their burden.

R100 can make a huge difference!

On the 20th April 2026 we visited two primary schools in Cato Manor.
We handed out 50 pair of Bata school shoes to marginalised learners who really needed them. Watching their faces light up as they tried on their new shoes was priceless. We are so grateful to everyone who donated money to this worthy cause. Without you, it would not have been possible! Music: We Were Made For Adventure

"We live in a country where, according to our recent household food insecurity report, around 70% of our people are food insecure across South Africa. We've shown that in households, hunger is not episodic; it is chronic."
Quote from Andy du Plessis; Managing Director at FoodForward SA

What role do you think you can play in supporting disadvantaged communities?

It is estimated that 11% of people in South Africa face extreme food insecurity, possibly going for days hungry.
That is why we believe in buying monthly food parcels for our learners residing in child headed households.

We are so grateful to Boxer Superstores for the R2500 voucher we received. With it we were able to get the children from child headed households food parcels that will last them for the entire month.

This will help them stay nourished and focused at school as they write exams.

Without partnerships like Boxer Superstores we could not do what we do. Thank you for helping us rebuild communities! We appreciate you and the change you bring to vulnerable children.

A school uniform isnt just a physical item, but it can bring a sense of belonging to a child.

We conducted a small survey with some kids in Cato Manor to better understand the fears and issues surrounding a school uniform.

This year's holiday club theme was "I Have Hope." We explored this topic through a variety of engaging activities and crafts.
On the first day, we welcomed 60 children, and on the second day, we had 80 enthusiastic participants.
The kids thoroughly enjoyed the fun crafts and delicious lunches provided on both days. We're hopeful that the lessons and experiences gained during these three days will stay with them and give them hope for the future no matter what circumstances they face.
