The Imbokodo Campaign has been formulated by a group of non-profit experts and executives from the KwaZulu Natal region of South Africa. It is an intense and extensive campaign to address various elements of abuse across South Africa and the world. The entire campaign is structured over a six-year period however, this proposal addresses the initial introductory activities of both a documentary ser
ies and community and government engagement symposium. The documentary is aimed at the larger population of South Africa with intended global distribution. The symposium intends to engage government, communities, the medical and non-profit sectors on the adaptation of policy and practice to become sufficiently more relevant at individual victim level (due to the widen gap between legislation and strategy) to what is occurring on the ground. A partnership between Impucuzeko Training and Skills Development (a well-known South African production company and skills transfer and developmental non-profit) and Regal (a non-profit company) has been developed to facilitate all of the activities for the benefit of all South Africans and the global community at large.
