What an incredible day of teamwork, laughter, and connection for the KZN Blind and Deaf Society team!

Our staff members, including Blind, Deaf, and able-bodied colleagues, were divided into three teams and embarked on an exciting Amazing Race-style adventure. Armed with clues, enthusiasm, and determination, each team navigated their way from one location to the next, solving challenges, collaborating effectively, and drawing on one another’s unique strengths throughout the journey.

The adventure concluded at Istanbul Restaurant on Florida Road, where everyone enjoyed a delicious lunch followed by a variety of engaging team-building activities. The day provided a valuable opportunity for staff to step away from their daily routines, strengthen relationships, learn more about one another, and celebrate the diversity that makes our organisation so special.

The experience beautifully demonstrated the power of inclusion, communication, and teamwork. It showed that when people come together and embrace their different abilities, there is no challenge too great to overcome.

A truly memorable day filled with adventure, friendship, laughter, and plenty of smiles! 🌟🤝🎉

🇿🇦 Happy Youth Day, South Africa! 🇿🇦

Today we honour the brave young people of 1976 whose courage and determination helped shape the future of our nation. Their legacy reminds us that every young person has the power to create change and inspire hope.

At the KZN Blind and Deaf Society, we proudly celebrate the strength, resilience, and achievements of Blind, Deaf, and Deafblind youth. Every day, they overcome barriers, challenge perceptions, and prove that disability does not define potential.

To our youth: your dreams matter, your talents are valuable, and your voices deserve to be heard. You are not only the leaders of tomorrow, you are making a difference today. Together, we continue to build a more inclusive South Africa where every young person has the opportunity to thrive. ✨
