Honouring the men who lead with integrity, lift others up, and remind us that strength isn’t just about power—it’s about compassion, resilience, and the courage to keep growing.

Today we celebrate their contributions at home, at work, and in our community, and we recommit to supporting their wellbeing and the positive change they inspire.

Here’s to the fathers, friends, mentors, and allies who make every day brighter.

Our Apprentice Training Programme stands as a true beacon of hope — equipping young South Africans with the technical skills and confidence to thrive in the maritime industry. 🚢🔧

In a time when youth unemployment remains a national challenge, we’re immensely proud of the impact this programme continues to make — and we're grateful to our public sector partners who help make it all possible.💙

Here’s to developing skills and building the next generation of marine professionals to keep South Africa’s shipbuilding legacy alive. ⚙️

A skilled fitter and boilermaker by trade — and a passionate kids’ soccer coach after hours. ⚽️

Driven by a desire to keep young talent off the streets and on the right path, Thandokuhle is more than a coach — he’s a mentor shaping futures. Through discipline, teamwork, and heart, he’s giving his players the opportunity to grow, compete, and dream bigger.

“Teamwork makes the dream work,” he says — a simple truth that reflects his commitment to building not only strong teams, but strong young leaders.

Thandokuhle reminds us that every act of mentorship has the power to inspire change — on the field, at work, and in our communities.

⛳ Proud Partners in Purpose

Last year, we were honoured to partner with the South African Police Service (SAPS) for the inaugural KZN Provincial Commissioner’s Golf Day — a memorable event that combined great networking with an even greater cause.

We’re proud to support this initiative once again, taking place on 27 November 2025, and encourage corporates to secure their sponsorships or fourballs early. 🏌️‍♂️

This meaningful event supports the SAPS Education Trust, which provides educational opportunities for the children of officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.

Let’s come together, network, and raise funds for a truly worthy cause.

🌊 National Marine Week 2025

This week, we join the Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment in celebrating National Marine Week, a South African initiative dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of our coastal and marine environments.

Our oceans are vital to life — they regulate the climate, provide food, support livelihoods, and host extraordinary biodiversity. National Marine Week reminds us that sustainable use and conservation of marine resources are essential for the well-being of both present and future generations.

We remain committed to protecting the marine environment through responsible operations, innovation, and sustainable practices that align with the UN Sustainable Development Platform Goals (SDG 13: Climate Action, SDG 14: Life Below Water, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals).

Let’s all play our part in preserving our ocean economy. 🌍💙

Every Story is Unique, Every Journey Matters. 🌸

Behind every statistic is a mother, a sister, a daughter, a friend. Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer among women worldwide, yet it is never just a number—it is someone’s life, their story, and their journey.

The World Health Organization (WHO) Global Breast Cancer Initiative reminds us that with the right tools, prevention, early detection, timely diagnosis, and comprehensive treatment are possible.

Together, we can work toward the 60–60–80 targets:
✨ 60% of cases detected early
✨ 60 days to a timely diagnosis
✨ 80% of patients completing treatment

Let us stand united—in hope, in dignity, and in action. 💖 Because when every journey is valued, every life has the chance to thrive.

As Sandock Austral Shipyards, youth empowerment and skills development are central to our purpose.⚓

Today, we proudly joined Transnet National Ports Authority , EThekwini Maritime Cluster and EThekwini Municipality at the World Maritime Day Career Expo in the Port of Durban. It was a privilege to engage with bright high school learners from across KZN as they discovered the exciting opportunities within our vast maritime industry. 🚢✨

The International Maritime Organization - IMO 2025 theme for World Maritime Day is: “Our Ocean, Our Obligation, Our Opportunity.” As proud custodians of Africa’s maritime legacy, we remain committed to navigating a future where our sector thrives — responsibly, sustainably, and proudly. 🌍✨
