Hello, young people.

Feedback on the Computer Course.

We appreciate your interest in our Basic Computer Course at the Wentworth Youth Development Centre.

Please note that due to our current learners utilizing the computer lab as part of their skills development courses, which include a one-month computer course, we are currently sharing the facility. The lab will become available upon their completion. Consequently, we have adjusted our start date, initially scheduled for March.

I can confirm that the course will commence upon the completion of the current learners.

We appreciate your queries and look forward to welcoming you. Further instructions will be sent, and calls will be made.

Please note that we have a limited intake of 20 learners per class. Currently, we have 400 interested applicants, and we have grouped the names into sets of 20. Calls will be made in that order.

Please be patient, and you will receive a call.

As the organisation Ethekwini South Youth In Business held it Annual General Meeting, the NPO covers all mandatory items required by it constitution allowing adequate time for discussions of the items presented on the agenda.

The structure which is the executives prepared their annual financial report , directors reports and auditors reports these are the most crucial items. The team engages the community and members allowing them to have a clear picture and understanding on how a Non-Profit Organisation functions.

The organization believes in transparency and educating young people and community members and fostering open communication, teamwork , mutual support and individuals well- being as we navigate challenges together to make an effective change in the life's of young people.

YOUTH EMPOWERMENT DRIVE: WENTWORTH YOUTH CENTRE HOSTS SUMMATIVE ASSESSMENT AND SKILLS SHOWCASE FOR 60 PROGRAMME PARTICIPANTS

The Wentworth Youth Centre today, hosted a Summative Assessment and skills showcase for 60 young people nearing completion of their six-month skills development programme. Over the past half-year, participants have received structured training and mentorship in three key areas—electrical training, assistant chef training, and garment making—aimed at boosting youth employability.

During the assessment session, participants demonstrated the skills they have gained and showcased the milestones achieved throughout the programme, giving assessors and stakeholders a practical view of their progress and readiness for the job market. The assessments were conducted by eThekwini TVET College as part of the final evaluation process.

The event was officiated by Ms Fezile Luthuli, Chief District Director for the eThekwini Cluster under the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Social Development. In her address, Ms Luthuli applauded the participants for their dedication and hard work. She encouraged them to continue accessing psychosocial and other support services offered by the department, noting that despite ongoing socio-economic challenges, the skills they have acquired create meaningful opportunities for growth and long-term success.

Also in attendance were the local councillor, representatives from the National Youth Development Agency (NYDA), and officials from the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Social Development.
