Gauteng Fam,The 2026 Bambelela Business Awards is coming your way. The Bambelela Business Awards (BBA) continues to celebrate MSMEs across South Africa that are building, growing, creating opportunities, and making a meaningful impact in their communities💜

Selected MSMEs will take part in an Exhibition and Seminar, where they will present their businesses and connect with industry experts, leading up to the Awards Gala Dinner, where they will stand a chance to receive a share of over R1 million in funding to support their next steps ✨

Durban is slowly turning Purple 💜

As we build up to the Hollywoodbets Durban July, we kicked things off with the first round of judging for the Young Designer Award — a celebration of creativity and the next generation of South African fashion designers.

The event took place at the Hollywoodbets Greyville Saddler’s Arm Room, where more than 130 aspiring designers showcased their garments and mood boards to the judging panel. The room was filled with excitement as each designer brought their own interpretation of this year's Country Allure theme to life through fabric, colour and design.

As part of our MyEducation Student Support Programme, the top three finalists will receive bursaries worth R70 000, R50 000 and R30 000 respectively, helping them take the next step in their design careers.

A heartfelt congratulations to the Top 25 semi-finalists. Your creativity and dedication have earned you a place in the next stage of the competition.

Next stop: the Young Designer Award semi-finals at the Hollywoodbets Gold Challenge this weekend — another exciting milestone on the road to the Hollywoodbets Durban July. 💜

Progress Continues at Umzilikazi Secondary School 💜

During our third visit to Umzilikazi Secondary School in Utrecht, Newcastle, we returned to the school as work continues after Gagasi FM selected it as part of the Adopt A School initiative.

Each visit tells a new part of the story, and this time we were able to see how the school continues to take shape as the rebuilding process moves forward. The project remains focused on creating a learning environment that will benefit both learners and educators for years to come.

Through our School Support Programme, we are proud to be part of a journey that continues to invest in education and the future of the community.
