📌 5 October 2024

Linking Arms is proud to announce the successful completion of a newly installed jungle gym at Parkvale Primary School, situated at 17 Nordale Road, Newlands East. This initiative was made possible through the generous contributions and unwavering support of our donors and community members who amplified our efforts by sharing our message.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone involved in bringing this project to fruition. At Linking Arms, we are deeply committed to enriching the educational experiences of learners, and we are confident that the rejuvenation of this facility will not only enhance the playtime of the 93 Grade R students but also contribute meaningfully to their overall development.

19 August 2024

A social media post from Southlands Secondary, Unit 1, Chatsworth, highlighted an urgent need for assistance to sustain their Lunch Club, which provides daily meals to students from impoverished backgrounds. Due to limited resources, the school is struggling to continue this essential service.

In response, Linking Arms contributed R 2,500 worth of lunch items to support the school’s efforts. This contribution aims to ensure that no child has to learn on an empty stomach, reinforcing the importance of community support in addressing such critical needs.

Should you wish to support this initiative, please contact us or the school directly.

Do you have children's books you've outgrown? Or novels you no longer need? Donate them to the Eden College Interact book drive! We're teaming up with Linking Arms, an NGO started by our very own ex-Edenite Arnav Dasrath, to collect books for the children's wing of the A***n Benevolent Home. Any books suitable for readers from 2-17 years can be dropped off at Miss Gerber's classroom until the end of term.

Linking Arms has partnered with FOSA (Friends of the Sick Association) once again for another successful project to kick off the year. As the 2024 academic year steadily approaches, not everyone has the privilege of having a pair of school shoes under their feet. Thanks to the long-standing partnership with FOSA, Linking Arms was able to deliver a generous amount of school shoes to St Martin Diocesan Home for Children based in Berea and William Clark Gardens Childrens Home in Sherwood.

Linking Arms would like to thank everyone who made this project successful. If you would like to be involved in future projects, send us a message and we will talk you through the steps for you to be a part of the Linking Arms family.

Please drop a like, leave a message or comment, and share our posts to help us make a difference. All donations of cash and kind are welcomed and Section 18A certificates can be issued upon request.
