Obstacles in your path are not blocks to stop you, but tests to see how badly you want to fight for your goals.

The game we love teaches us how to fight for the ball, the tenacity required and the never-give-up attitude. Translating that mindset off the field requires a bit of adaptation, but its all the same.

Rugby is a game which teaches many on field values. The trick is to then translate it into what we do OFF the field. This is our Player Mentorship Program. Empowering our players all year round to recognise, embrace and pursue the opportunities in life ethically.

With a foundational principle of Player Mentorship and building our community - our year round active Mentorship Program includes a vibrant female empowerment program both on and off the the field of play.

For us this is more than rugby. This is an investment in our player, a contribution to our community and by extension our country.

Ignite women, inspire change, impact the world. So grateful to our community roleplayers who have come together to join us on this journey and believe in our vision of rugby and community.

My games, my roots, my future - is the mantra of the KwaZulu Natal Indigenous Games Federation and we were grateful to host the capacity building team yesterday. Looking forward to building communities, opening minds and encouraging social cohesion together - one step at a time.

The youth of today are the leaders of tomorrow.

This Mandela Day was spent using the game we love to inspire the change that we would like to see in our community. It was powerful to see these young men and women come together to encourage each other both on and off the field - as the AD Lazarus Rugby Raptors took on an Invitational Team.

An entertaining, if somewhat dusty day of morning of fun filled rugby where the only winners were the game we love, and the youth we are intentionally grooming to become leaders of our community.

Our Legacy ... is Our Community! Amabhubesi Ayohlezi Ekhonya 💪🏽✊🏼💕
