🌱 FROM GARDEN TO INCOME WOMEN, LET’S GROW! 🌱

Care Enough TDS is taking the conversation on food security and economic empowerment to the airwaves!

Join us on Inanda FM 88.4 as we engage the Inanda community on how communal and household vegetable gardens can do more than put nutritious food on the table they can become sustainable income generating businesses.

This Women’s Month, we are especially encouraging women to see agriculture not only as a means of feeding their families, but as an opportunity to start small businesses, create livelihoods and build financially stronger households and communities.

🎙️ Our special guest will share practical insights on how women can move from growing vegetables to growing viable businesses.

We’re excited to create a safe, empowering and supportive space where young girls can learn, grow, uplift one another and discover the beauty within themselves and each other. 💗

Under the theme “Empowered Girls, Healthy Girls, Strong Today, Brighter Tomorrow,” the day will focus on building self-esteem and confidence, promoting menstrual health and hygiene, encouraging healthy choices, and creating a positive environment where every girl feels seen, valued, heard and empowered. 🌷

Together, we’ll celebrate each other, encourage one another and remind every young girl that her voice matters, her story matters, and she is enough. 💪🏽💕

Breastfeeding is one of the greatest gifts a mother can give her baby. It provides complete nutrition, strengthens a baby’s immune system, supports healthy growth and development, and creates a lifelong bond between mother and child.

THANK YOU FOR BELIEVING IN SOUTH AFRICA’S FUTURE! ❤️

The success of the 2026 Care Enough Youth Empowerment Winter School is a testament to what is possible when government, higher education, business, civil society and communities work together to invest in young people.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to every partner, sponsor, donor, exhibitor, presenter, speaker, volunteer and participant who helped make this life-changing programme a reality. Your generosity, expertise and commitment empowered 150 talented Grade 11 learners from KwaMashu, Inanda and uMlazi with the knowledge, confidence, skills and inspiration to pursue brighter futures.

Together, we are building future leaders, expanding access to higher education, promoting skills development, and creating pathways towards employment and sustainable livelihoods.

The journey does not end here. Cohort 3 will continue to receive mentorship, computer training, financial literacy, psychosocial support, tertiary application assistance and career development as they prepare for matric and beyond.

As we begin planning for Cohort 4 in 2027, we invite businesses, corporate South Africa, government, higher education institutions, donors and development partners to join us in expanding this impact and empowering even more young people.

Together, we are changing lives, one child at a time. 💛
