It's 2026. How are we STILL having to address racism like this?

Recently, someone thought it was acceptable to leave an absolutely disgusting, racist comment on one of our posts about a little boy in our care.

A child. Let that sink in.

Our babies come to us to be loved, cared for and protected. Many have already experienced more than any child ever should, and the very last thing they deserve is to be subjected to hatred and discrimination.

Let us be very clear. Racism, hate speech and discrimination of any kind will NEVER be tolerated on our platforms.

Comments like these will be removed, and those responsible will be blocked and reported.

And this time, we're taking it further. We have already lodged a formal complaint and will continue pursuing appropriate action to ensure accountability.

We cannot change the circumstances that brought these little ones into our care, but we can make absolutely sure that while they're with us, their dignity is protected and their voices are heard.

Our babies cannot stand up for themselves. But we can. And we always will.

Our tiniest accountant has been crunching the numbers, and apparently we need a few more people in our R100 Club!

The maths is actually pretty simple.

R100 a month might not seem like much, but when lots of people give a little, it adds up to something really special.

Nappies, formula, groceries, medication and all the little things that go into caring for our babies every single day.

Our R100 Club is all about people coming together and making a difference, one small monthly contribution at a time.

Something came up recently that made me think this was an important conversation to have.

As both an adoptive mom and someone who has spent the last 10 years caring for vulnerable children, I know just how important protecting a child's story is.

I've experienced firsthand what it feels like when a child's personal circumstances are shared publicly, and it's something I would never want another child or family to experience.

We put an enormous amount of thought into what we share here, and even more thought into what we don't.

We believe it's possible to raise awareness, educate and build a community of support without compromising a child's identity or dignity.

And while we might not always get everything perfect, I can promise you that protecting the children in our care will always matter more than any social media post.

A splash mat, some balloons, snacks and a whole lot of happy little people.

Our play dates our little friends from Journey of Hope Baby Home mean so much to us. We get to watch trust develop, confidence grow and little friendships form.

Each visit brings a little more familiarity, a few more smiles and another chance to build those special connections. We love seeing them become more comfortable with each other, at their own pace.

This afternoon, we headed into town to meet the police and collect a precious little boy who needed somewhere safe to stay.

Another little one who has already been through far more than any child ever should.

He arrived underweight, wearing just a nappy, and our hearts broke a little knowing what he has been through.

But after a lovely warm bath, a full tummy, clean clothes and lots of cuddles, he was happily playing in our lounge, just being a little boy.

We know he probably won't be with us for very long, but while he is here, we will love him, care for him and do everything we can to make sure he never has to experience those circumstances again.

A huge thank you to the kind people who stepped in, got involved and made sure he was safe. It really does make such a difference when people care enough to do something.

Tonight, this precious little boy is tucked up in a warm bed, with a full tummy, and lots of people around him who already care so much about him.

We can't change what happened before he arrived, but we can make sure that from the moment he walked through our door, he felt safe and loved.

And tonight, that's exactly what he is. Safe and loved.
