We are very excited about the progress of our track! We have had lots of compliments and further donations 🙂 The track will be complete in the next three weeks and we request all park users to please assist with cleaning our park in anticipation of opening the track - the sand and grass is set to be moved any day, but we have noticed a lot of dog waste, cigarette butts, bottles, newspaper and general garbage lying about. Please take a packet and some braai tongs / gloves and assist with picking up along your route in the park. Bring the kids and teach them too. Please add your pictures on this post so we can gauge how much rubbish there actually is.

Attention all park-goers!
We are thrilled to announce the start of construction of the of the much-anticipated walking track in Hugh Wyndham Park, Dunkeld West. Starting today, we have begun the building of a 900m circular picturesque walking track that will provide an excellent opportunity for walking, jogging, or simply enjoying a leisurely stroll amidst the beautiful surroundings of the park, designed to be pram and wheelchair friendly. Please pay attention during the construction period, certain sections of the park may be temporarily inaccessible for safety reasons.Your patience and understanding is requested as we work to bring this exciting enhancement to our park. What's going on in the park? We are on Track! Plans are afoot to clear a +- 750m walkway in the park to cater for walkers, joggers, prams, wheelchairs, toddler scooters, etc. This will take a while to complete, especially the drainage issues in the lower part of the park. Please be careful of the stakes- these are marked with tape but please take care.
