Our organization started as a campaign against electricity cut-offs. Our struggle for affordable electricity for all has grown into a struggle for free basic services for all. Basic services are all the things that a human being needs in order to live such as job, food, housing, health care, education, electricity, water, sanitation, recreation, and other basic necessities of modern life. Basic se

rvices are a right not a privilege. We will fight to make sure that everyone, employed, young or old, should get these basic services whether they have got the money to pay or not. The main job of the SECC is to organize the struggle for free basic services for all.
