Official Statement: Atamelang Re Thusaneng Community Foundation (ARTF) Congratulates the Matric Class of 2025
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The Atamelang Re Thusaneng Community Foundation (ARTF), rooted in the heart of Atamelang Township, extends its most heartfelt congratulations to the Matric Class of 2025. As an organization dedicated to the upliftment of our people in the Tswaing Local Municipality and the broader Ngaka Modiri Molema District, we are immensely proud of the resilience shown by our youth.
Honouring Our Local Heroes: Phatsima Secondary School
A special and significant tribute goes to the learners and educators of Phatsima Secondary School. As the sole secondary school serving the Atamelang community, Phatsima carries the hopes and dreams of our township. Your hard work, despite the challenges, has not gone unnoticed. We salute the Class of 2025, the dedicated teachers, and the parents who supported these learners through every step of their journey.
Reflecting on National and Provincial Progress
We are encouraged by the overall improvement in results both across the North West Province and nationally. These gains reflect the collective effort of our education system to provide a better future for the next generation.
A Message of Hope for 2026
To those learners who did not meet the requirements to pass or who fell short of their expectations: ARTF stands with you. Your journey does not end here. We sympathize with your disappointment, but we believe in your ability to rise again. We encourage you to use the opportunities available in 2026 to rewrite and improve your results. With the support of this community and the foundation, you can still achieve your dreams.
Broadening Horizons: TVET Colleges and Skills Development
While we celebrate the high number of Bachelorโs passes, we recognize the reality of limited space at our universities. ARTF encourages our learners to seriously consider TVET Colleges. These institutions offer vital technical and vocational skills that are essential for the development of our local economy in the North West. Success is not found only in a university degree, but in the mastery of skills that build a nation.
An Appeal to Government and Institutions
For our community to thrive, we need better access to education. ARTF calls upon the government and higher learning institutions to:
โข Establish Satellite Campuses: We need more accessible learning centers to accommodate our rural and township learners who wish to further their studies but cannot travel long distances.
โข Expand Funding:We urge the government to increase NSFAS funding and other financial support systems to ensure that no deserving learner from Atamelang is denied an education due to poverty.
Our Commitment to the Future
The Atamelang Re Thusaneng Community Foundation remains a steadfast partner to the Department of Basic Education. We will continue to support initiatives that improve the quality of schooling in our district, ensuring that Phatsima Secondary School and its learners continue to shine.
Congratulations to the Class of 2025. You are the pride of Atamelang!
