In honour of World Menstrual Hygiene Day, we engaged in meaningful conversations around Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), including menstruation, consent, abortion, and GBV.

Period poverty continues to affect many young girls due to a combination of factors such as economic inequality, the high cost of sanitary products, limited access in rural and underserved communities, and ongoing stigma and silence around menstruation. In some homes, a lack of accurate information and open dialogue about reproductive health also contributes to shame and misinformation.

We encourage everyone to be part of the solution by donating a pack of sanitary pads to support young girls in need. Donations can be dropped off at any of our branches: 1 Lurie Road, Mayfield Ext 1 and 3811 Main Road, Maputo Section, Etwatwa East. This small act helps restore dignity and support access to essential menstrual hygiene products.

Special thanks to Gender Links and the SRHR Cluster Group organisations for their insightful presentations and valuable contributions towards advancing education, awareness, and community empowerment.

We have seen so much improvement in how our End-User Computing students interact with the digital world and how this has boosted their confidence since they started with their course.

This program is not only equipping these young people with workplace skills, but it is also giving them hope of a better tomorrow.

This past Tuesday, the community of Hillcrest in Bapsfontein was affected by a devastating storm, leaving many residents in vulnerable conditions.

As an organisation, we stepped in and donated prepared meals and food parcels to 30 affected community members.

Our work goes beyond skills development, it also involves caring for and supporting the communities we operate in.

We are calling on individuals, businesses, and anyone with the means to assist through donations of food, clothing, blankets, or other essential items to please contact us at [email protected]
