From TUT Student to Solving Student Challenges head-on. 🎓🚀
This week, our Director returned to where his journey began-Tshwane University of Technology (Main Campus) - as a keynote speaker. But this wasn't just a full-circle moment; it was a mission to address real obstacles facing students today.
During his address, he highlighted a critical reality: too many graduates and students fail their first job interviews simply because they aren’t prepared.
He knows this pain firsthand. Back when he was a student at TUT, he flopped multiple interviews while trying to secure part-time and weekend jobs to make extra cash. That lived experience showed him how intimidating and unstructured the process can be - and led him to build ItsAgo AI, an AI-powered career platform designed to make sure your first interview becomes your first job offer.
But interview preparation is only half the battle if you don't have the tools to learn.
Reflecting on his university days - when he regularly borrowed his laptop to a friend who didn't have one just so they could submit assignments - he recognized that device access remains a massive hurdle for students from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Now, as Director at Astute Tech Foundation, he’s taking action:
