⚽ What if your World Cup predictions could help change a child's future?

We're inviting our supporters to run a World Cup Pool fundraiser in their workplace, sports club, school, church, community group, or among friends and family.

It's simple:
🏆 Organise a World Cup Pool to predict who will win
💰 Charge an entry fee (We suggest between R50 to R250 per entry)
🎁 Offer a prize for the winner (This prize will be sponsored by the workplace, sports club, school, church, or community group)
🌈 Donate the proceeds to Rainbow Children's Village

The funds raised will help us provide vulnerable children with a safe and loving home, nutritious meals, educational support, and opportunities to thrive.

Whether you raise R500 or R5,000, every contribution makes a difference.

As Child Protection Week comes to an end, we take a final look at Igugu Education Centre at Sparrow Schools before all the improvements begin.

Our aftercare teacher, Palesa, is the guardian of this space and we can't wait to turn this space into a haven. Please reach out with any donations, Teresa 064 683 4452.

A huge thank you to be.UP Park Cresta for hosting our safe house children for 2 hours of jumping, bouncing, sliding, balancing, and endless fun! The laughter and excitement were absolutely priceless — and yes, we definitely had exhausted children by the end of it all 🌸

For those who haven’t visited yet, take your kids down there! It’s a wonderful space for children to burn off energy while moms and dads enjoy a coffee or some shopping.

Today we stand in solidarity with children who have experienced violence, aggression, or abuse.

No child should ever be exposed to harm or fear, yet in South Africa, and around the globe, an estimated 1 billion children (roughly half of the world's youth) experience physical, sexual, or emotional violence or neglect every year.

At Rainbow Children's Village, we believe healing takes time, safety, and consistent care. With nurturing support, access to education, and environments that feel safe and structured, children can slowly begin to rebuild trust, confidence, and hope. 🌈

We provide abused and abandoned children with a safe place to come out of the storm. Our initiatives help vulnerable children feel safe, learn with confidence, and build brighter futures.

Protecting children is a responsibility we all share. It asks each of us to pay attention, show compassion, speak up when something is wrong, and take action to help keep children safe.

Today we reflect on International Day for the Protection of Children. 🛡️

Every child deserves to grow up safe, loved, and free from harm, fear, and neglect.
This should be a given, yet for many children it is still not their reality.

Protecting children is a shared responsibility that lives in everyday actions. It asks us to notice, care, speak up, and act where we can.

At Rainbow Children’s Village, we walk alongside vulnerable children every day, providing safe care, education, and support to help them heal, grow, and rediscover hope for the future. 💛🌈
