It’s just 67 minutes.

But for a child, it can become something they remember for years.
Someone who showed up.
Someone who listened.
Someone who made them feel like they mattered.

Mandela Day is coming on 18 July.
And this is where your 67 minutes can become something more.

This year, you or your team can get involved in one of these meaningful ways:
💛 Support Missio Dei Schools’ remedial education projects for Grade 3 learners in Olievenhoutbosch and Pretoria West
💛 Visit Judea Harvest crèches
💛 Bless and spoil CMR social workers in Gauteng who protect and support children every day
💛 Pack up to 18,000 meals and support 120 children with monthly food packs

From time spent with children to practical support that reaches families in need, every action becomes part of something bigger.
Because giving is not only about time.

It is about presence, care, and choosing to make your 67 minutes count.

Some children don’t know that what is happening to them is wrong.

They don’t have the words.
They don’t know they can speak up.
They don’t know they deserve to be safe.

Child Protection Week, initiated by the Department of Social Development, is where that begins to change.

Our trusted NPO partner- CMR Gauteng Oos - runs awareness campaigns in schools, reaching 1000’s of parents, teachers and children!
This helps them to understand what abuse is, that their bodies are their own, and need to be protected and that they are allowed to speak up.

And when a child does speak up, CMR GO helps to make sure that they are protected, even in court.
This work is not always seen. But it changes lives.

And it can only happen with funding and support.
💛 If you or your company would like to be part of this initiative, you can help sponsor the educational tools and materials we use in schools - from printed resources to take-home reading material for children and families.

To get involved, please contact Anja at [email protected]
💛 Your support helps us reach more children and stand with them when it matters most.

Mother’s Day is not one story.
It’s the mother who gave birth.
The mother who opened her home.
The mother who chose to stay.
It’s the woman who could not have children of her own… but became a mother anyway.
Through love, through courage & through choosing a child who needed her.

Today we honour the adoptive mothers.
The foster mothers.
The women who stepped in when it mattered most.
Because motherhood is not only about where life begins but about who chooses to protect it, nurture it, and never walk away.

💛 To every mother who is raising, loving, and protecting a child
thank you.
You are changing lives in ways words cannot fully hold.

She held her baby for as long as she could. The morning was cold, and the decision heavier than anything she had ever carried.
“I’m so sorry,” she whispered.
Then she placed her baby by a gate and walked away. Not because she didn’t love her, but because she did.
That baby was found, held, and taken somewhere safe. And given a name. Tsholofelo. It means hope.
The journey was not easy. Paperwork missing. Delays. Waiting.
But slowly, something began to change.
A couple stepped in. They did not hesitate. They came back again and again, learning her laugh, holding her, waiting for her.
Today, Tsholofelo is no longer alone.
Her story did not begin with certainty, but it continues with hope. And with the right people walking alongside her, there is a chance that her first birthday will not just be safe… but home.
💛 This is what child protection looks like.
Together with CMR, we help support children like Tsholofelo, from crisis to care, and through the long journey to safety and belonging.

There are more children still waiting.
💛 Your donation helps us support this work and stand with children when they need it most.

Freedom is a powerful word.
It means the freedom to learn, grow and the freedom to dream about a future that feels possible.
For many children, those freedoms still depend on the support around them, we believe every child deserves the chance to learn, feel safe, and discover who they can become.

This Freedom Day, we celebrate the children whose futures are still being written.
And we thank every person who helps make those possibilities real.

Some children arrive at school carrying more than just their books.
An empty lunchbox, a quiet stomach- a harder start to the day.
Sometimes love looks simple, a box on a table, rice poured by hand and meals packed with care by people who chose to show up.
Through our Food Packing Project, teams don’t just donate. They come together, they pack every item themselves- and somewhere, a child gets to focus, learn, and feel seen.

💛 You may never see the face, but the impact is real.

Here’s what your team can be part of:
Pack up to 18,000 meals (1,800 food packs)
Support 120 children with monthly food packs
2.5-hour team experience (60–85 people)
Includes coffee, tea & light snacks
Hosted in Centurion or at your own venue

Meals distributed through Choose Children & SUS community projects
Food packs include a Department of Education-approved rice & soya mix

Get your team involved this Freedom Day.
