🌸 A little help for a mom-to-be starting over

I’m reaching out on behalf of a young mom-to-be who is currently rebuilding her life after leaving an abusive situation.

She has experienced both physical and financial abuse and has taken the incredibly difficult steps necessary to get herself to safety. A case has been opened, and she is in the process of obtaining a protection order.

For her safety, she needs to remain anonymous, so we unfortunately cannot share identifying information publicly.

Despite everything she has been through, she is doing everything she can to get back on her feet. She has managed to secure temporary work at a daycare, where they are also helping her with the training she needs to improve her employment opportunities.

Safe accommodation has been arranged for her, and much of her immediate housing cost has already been covered. She is currently R500 short on her R1,500 rent.

Thankfully, she has already received the bigger items she will need for her baby(80% sure its a boy).
❤️ What she still needs are some of the smaller essentials, such as:
💓Baby clothes, blankets, nappies and toiletries/baby-care products
💓Other small newborn/baby necessities
💓Basic groceries for herself
💓R500 toward the outstanding rent

This mom is not looking for luxuries—just some help getting through an extremely difficult chapter while she works toward becoming independent and creating a safe, stable home for herself and her baby.

If anyone is able to assist with an item, groceries, a small contribution toward the rent, or perhaps a voucher, please contact me privately . I will coordinate assistance while protecting her identity and location.

Firstly, thank you so, so much to everyone who has donated towards our elderly project. ❤️ Your kindness and generosity are truly appreciated.

We have already done our first delivery, and we will be doing another one tomorrow.

As many of you know, we recently started a project supporting a home where elderly members, many of whom rely on SASSA grants, are provided with affordable accommodation.

This home has really touched my heart, and it is a project that I personally would love to become more regularly involved with.

We asked each of the residents to give us a little wish list of things they would like or need. What touched me most was how simple their requests were — things like underwear, toiletries, and perhaps a small treat. Nothing big or luxurious, just basic everyday items that many of us often take for granted.

I would really love for us to find a way to support them on a monthly basis, even if it is just with some of these basic necessities.

There are also a few bigger projects that I would love to get our community involved in over time. One idea is to create a beautiful, peaceful little area in the garden where the residents can sit outside, enjoy some fresh air, read a book, or simply have a quiet moment.

I would also love to arrange a special Christmas party for them — perhaps a braai where we can spend the day together, enjoy some good food and company, and spoil each resident with a Christmas gift. 🎄❤️

There are honestly so many ideas going through my mind and so many things I would love to do for them. I know we cannot do everything at once, and it will take some time, but every little bit we do can make a difference.

If anyone feels that they would like to get involved in any of these projects — whether by donating, helping with the garden, contributing towards the Christmas celebration, or simply giving some of their time — please let me know.

Good day all

Just like the 13-year-old girl, her mother and brother have now also been given an opportunity for a new beginning.

This family has been living in extremely difficult circumstances and reached a point where they simply could not continue living this way. The mother faithfully attended church every week, and after a long and difficult struggle, she made the brave decision to seek help for herself and her children. (The father was physically abusive)

Mom and her teenage son have now received emergency accommodation in a safe place. Although they are not staying at the same place as the daughter/sister, they are safe, and the mother will also have an opportunity to work there.

They have gone from sleeping in tents in the bush to having a proper, safe room to sleep in. ❤️

As this was an emergency placement, they have very little and urgently need assistance with:

Toiletries – for Mom and teenage boy
Bedding – single-bed size
Boy’s clothing – size Small / 30
Boy’s shoes – size 6
Mom’s clothing – size Small / 30
Mom’s shoes – size 6

Any donations or assistance, big or small, would be greatly appreciated and will help them settle into their new, safe environment.

Let me make something very clear
She is placed with a family who LOVES her and who want to and who can care for her.

She is sent to a family who needs to within a day get everything ready for her.
They can definitely care for her.
They just need help setup the basics.
Not everyone has a spare room ready to just suddenly take someone in with her correct clothing size and everything she needs.
They can definitely care for her.
This is an emergency placement

Instead of leaving a rude comment rather thank the family for saving a little girl who slept in the woods in a tent.

So Arno, Catherine and Natalie please take a girl in who sleep on the street and have everything ready for her within 1 day without asking help

Good morning, everyone.

As you can see from the messages, we have quite a few families who are in need of our assistance. There are many more requests, but we try our best to assist 3–5 families each week.

At the moment, we have requests for the following:

- Cat and dog food
- Food parcels for families
- Fuel to help people continue searching for work
- Assistance with rent (even if it's only a partial contribution)
- Employment opportunities for both men and women – any work available
- Assistance with electricity
- Diapers size 3 & size 1

We know we won't be able to meet every need, but if we can help with even some of these requests, it will make a significant difference in the lives of these families.

We have been in contact with a local home that cares for 9 residents who rely solely on their SASSA grants. Sadly, some of them have no family who visit them—they only have each other.

We have asked each resident to put together a small wish list because we would love to spoil them a little. In addition, we would like to bless each person with a warm blanket and provide the home with some groceries.

Any grocery donations would be greatly appreciated, whether it's non-perishable items, fresh fruit and vegetables, or meat.

If you would like to sponsor a resident by purchasing the items on their wish list, or if you would like to contribute in any way towards this initiative, please let me know.

Our goal is to bless them by the middle of August, and we would be so grateful for your support in helping us make this possible.

We are reaching out to ask for support for a mother and her 5-year-old daughter (turning 6 in October) who have recently left an abusive home to start a new chapter.

They currently have only the bare essentials. They have a bed, a lounge suite, and some basic kitchen items, but they still need assistance with a number of everyday necessities.

The mom has recently started working and would greatly appreciate help with clothing:

- Mom: Size 36 (Medium), shoe size 5
- Daughter: Clothing size 6–7 years, shoe size 10 (kids)

They would also be grateful for any donations of:

- Toiletries
- Household cleaning products
- Any other household essentials

Good day, everyone,

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who assisted us. Thanks to your generosity, we were able to provide 29 families with food hampers.

We still have 22 families who are in need of food hampers, and any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

A special thank you to Cor's Diner for donating their Bags of Love in honour of Mandela Day, and to MegChem for their generous contribution of food items.

We truly appreciate the support of our community. No matter how big or small the contribution, every donation makes a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need.

As many of you know, schools have reopened, and we have several families who need assistance with food for their children's breakfasts and school snacks.

We also have a few individuals who have attended job interviews but, unfortunately, have not yet secured employment. If you know of any job opportunities in Centurion or the surrounding areas, please let us know.
