Yesterday was Helen Keller day...
As a toddler Helen became both blind & deaf after a serious bout of encephalitis. She endured a difficult childhood until her family met & employed Annie Sullivan, who taught Helen to speak & to read braille.
As an educated adult, Helen was invited to a Lions Conference in 1925 where she addressed the delegates, challenging them to become Knights of the Blind in the crusade against darkness.
