Freedom at the Well.
Denver Dreyer
Today at Bread of Life at the Well in Cape Town, I was reminded once again that ministry is not about platforms, programs, or performances—it is about people.
As we worshipped and ministered, the presence of God filled the room in a powerful and tangible way. Looking around, I saw people from every walk of life gathered together. Many came carrying burdens that most of us could never fully understand. Some are living on the streets. Some are battling deep trauma, addiction, rejection, depression, and years of brokenness. Others are carrying wounds that are invisible to the human eye but painfully real in their daily lives.
What struck me most was the reality of the spiritual battle taking place before our eyes. As the presence of God intensified, there were visible manifestations of spiritual oppression. Some people ran from the auditorium, crying out and screaming as darkness was confronted by the light of Christ.
Moments like these remind us that Jesus didn't come merely to make bad people good—He came to set captives free.
The Well is more than a building. It is a place where the broken find hope, where the forgotten find family, and where those trapped by darkness encounter the transforming power of Jesus Christ.
Today was not about numbers. It was about lives. It was about heaven touching earth. It was about seeing people encounter the love, grace, and freedom that can only be found in Christ.
Please continue to pray for the men and women who walk through these doors each week. Behind every face is a story. Behind every struggle is a soul worth fighting for.
"The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me... He has sent Me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set free those who are oppressed." — Luke 4:18
