Yesterday, Africa Unite created a space to remember, reflect and engage with a difficult chapter of our history.

We screened the Dulcie September documentary and came together to learn, reflect and have meaningful conversations.

Not every difficult conversation draws a crowd, but every conversation matters. 🕊️

A day at Parliament 🇿🇦🏛️

Africa Unite had the opportunity to step inside Parliament for a day of learning, connection and cultural expression.

From exploring the National Assembly and learning more about how Parliament works, to witnessing performances that brought a little African flavour into the space — it was a day that reminded us that democracy is not only something we learn about, but something we engage with.

Creating spaces for women to connect, reflect and stand together.

UCT hosted Africa Unite, led by Tusimame Wanawake, for a meaningful Women’s Month gathering that brought women together for an afternoon of conversation, connection and community.

A space to listen, learn and strengthen solidarity among women from different backgrounds and experiences.

When one woman stands up for herself, she stands up for every woman.
