🌍⚓ Captain Fanplastic x UNICEF Equatorial Guinea!

We’re thrilled to share first images of our partnership with UNICEF that will empower 1,500 children and train 40 adolescent facilitators across 20 youth centers, inspiring the next wave of eco-leaders to tackle plastic pollution and climate change. 💙🌱

Through storytelling, creativity, and clean-ups, kids will learn that there’s no such place as “away”, because . Together, we’re raising a new generation of “friendly pirates” who see that there’s truly .

This marks our impact in 13 countries and a step closer to our goal of reaching 1 million children by 2030. 🚀

🌊 This episode shines a light on our work across Small Island Developing States (SIDS) where plastic pollution is a daily challenge, despite these countries contributing the least to the problem.

🌍 Through storytelling, school-based activities, and circular economy education, Captain Fanplastic empowered over 12,000 learners to become plastic warriors, turning waste into wonder and education into action.

🧠 Our Programme Manager, Nobuhle Zulu, reflects on how place-based environmental education fosters local ownership and inspires a new generation to protect their marine environments. These island nations may be small, but their voices are powerful and their impact, even greater!
