Today, somewhere in South Africa, a child is going to bed hungry.
Not because there isn't enough food in the country — there is — but because the cost of nourishing a child has climbed beyond what too many families can carry.
Our partner, FoodForward SA, puts it plainly in their 2026 State of Household Food Insecurity Report: South Africa has hunger in the middle of plenty, and it falls hardest on families who rely on food support.
The most lasting consequence of this is childhood stunting. One in four South African children under the age of five is stunted; a quiet, invisible harm that shapes the rest of their lives, long after the hunger itself has been forgotten.
This is where Raise a Life. Raise a Nation. comes in.
We focus on the first 1,000 days of a child's life: the window when good nutrition does the most for a growing brain and body. Working with FoodForward SA, every sachet you help fund reaches a child at a community centre who needs it.
At R10 a sachet, a R300 monthly contribution supports a child’s nutrition for a month. Small numbers. Lasting difference.
