A Musical Collaboration to Remember!!!

What a wonderful afternoon of music at PlumRus! Our residents were captivated by the beautiful rhythms, voices and musical talents shared by The Parker Family, (all the way from the USA), and The Amy Foundation.

We were especially delighted to welcome the family of our oldest male resident, Mr. Dick Parker-and incredible 99 years and 8 months young!
The talented Parker Family trio featured Tobin on cello & trumpet, Kai on violin, accompanied by their mom Marie-Louise on piano.

Together with the choir from The Amy Foundation, they presented some memorable items of music including;
Overture - Game of Thrones
Trio - The Swan
Choir - Shumayela & What a wonderful world
Solo (Nonuthula) - You'll never walk alone
Music has a wonderful way of bringing generations and communities together - and this collaboration certainly touched hearts, brought smiles to faces and left our residents wanting more!

Our residents had an amazing time with the wonderful learners from Reddam Constantia! From friendly board games and a fun trivia challenge to beautiful musical performances, the room was filled with smiles and connection.
