is a global initiative building pump tracks in underprivileged communities, focused on making cycling and action sports more accessible than ever before. No matter your race, gender or religion, cycling has the power to unite communities around the world, was founded on this belief and that by making the sport more accessible we can help promote a more tolerant future.

Velosolutions have been building pump tracks around the world for over a decade and throughout that time they have witnessed the ability pump tracks have to transform communities and lives by making cycling more accessible. Whilst of course they are amazing fun for all, pump tracks have the power to unite communities, instil passion, make cycling more accessible and promote a healthy and active lifestyle. believes this should not be confined to only the most progressive and wealthy communities, everyone should be entitled to same opportunities in life.

“I have personally experienced the power of cycling in my own life. The passion for the sport was instilled with me from an early age and I carry it with me in my life each day. I know cycling and I have founded a company that builds pump tracks – why can’t we use this to promote tolerance and provide even the most under privileged with the same opportunities I have and many of my friends have had. Well the answer was . We are using our experience, our passion and our love of cycling to help bring about change in the best way we know.” – Claudio Caluori

With the philosophy behind embraced by so many around the world Velsosolutions turned to their friends in the music industry to help bring their vision to life. Both cycling and music have the power to unite people around and combining forces would help to reach more people than ever imagined. By working with both local and international musicians it became possible to host benefit concerts that would raise money to fund the community pump track builds. And with that was born – Musicians and Athletes on a mission for a better world.

One week on from the race that tested us in every way imaginable.

We stepped onto the biggest stage in our sport not just to compete — but to share a message:

Without freedom, there is no joy. No creativity. Only anxiety.
Without reconciliation, we remain in anger, in fear, in limitation.
Without unity, we are alone and lost.
Without opportunity, we cannot thrive.

Four riders. Different countries. Different stories. Different realities.
But one team.

We came together to chase something we love — to feel the freedom of expression, the joy of movement, the purpose of belonging.

But the Cape Epic doesn’t just reveal your strength. It reveals everything.

The rough trails, relentless climbs, and unforgiving elements brought out not only the best in us, but also our doubts, our fears, our imperfections.
We struggled. We misunderstood each other. We made mistakes.
At times, we hurt more than just our bodies.

But we also did something more important:
We apologised.
We forgave.
We learned.
And we chose to do better.

Because unity isn’t the absence of conflict — it’s the commitment to move through it, together.

Races like this will never be easy. Life isn’t either.
But we choose it anyway.

We choose the challenge.
We choose the discomfort.
We choose to listen, to grow, to embrace perspectives beyond our own.

Because life isn’t black or white.
It’s every shade in between.
And that’s where real growth lives.

Thank you for the brutally hard, deeply beautiful memories — and for reminding us what it truly means to stay united when everything tries to pull you apart. ❤️

We are so honoured to have had Nicolas Roche and Marta Torà Milà race to raise awareness for Pump for Peace this year.

They put on a phenomenal performance all week and finished third in the mixed category. We are so moved by their hearts for the sport and vision to see cycling be made accessible to everyone, everywhere.

Remembering that this was the whole point. Looking back, it’s these moments that got us to the finish line.

Can you find a tougher combo than an Iranian and a Bosnian female duo?

Lejla Njemčević shares how her upbringing built in her a resilience that has carried her through one of the toughest Cape Epic races in recent years.

Unfortunately due to an illness, Unathi made the tough call to withdraw from the Cape Epic this morning.

To stand in the gap for his teammate and their unified childhood dream to finish the race, Thabiso has decided to complete the remaining stages alone.

As best friends growing up together in rural Natal, the pair would read news about the Cape Epic in magazines and dreamed of racing it together.

Tomorrow Thabiso will race to honour their dream.

Opportunity isn’t something that simply arrives at your doorstep — for many, it’s something you have to fight for.

Unathi grew up in an environment where opportunities were few and far between. But when they did appear, he seized them with everything he had. That relentless drive, combined with unwavering discipline, has led him to one of the biggest stages in mountain biking: the Absa Cape Epic.

This race is more than just a competition — it’s a symbol of what’s possible. And we are incredibly proud to create pathways for riders like Unathi, who once could only dream of moments like this.

If you believe in the power of opportunity, join us. Support Pump for Peace in opening doors for young people from underprivileged communities.
