The Association’s main objectives are to make a difference and improve the quality of lives of individuals and groups in the Western Cape by assisting them to live healthy lives and reach their full potential. The Radiance Foundation aims to drive and support meaningful projects in collaboration with prominent role players dedicated to these values. We envisage a community where people have access to optimum health benefits and educational and career opportunities to enable them to lead healthy and productive lives. We want to provide rays of hope and light and are striving for a world where everyone can experience healthy and fulfilled lives. We are committed to delivering the highest industry standards for the administration of projects, and will ensure that donations for projects are legally and ethically handled.

From being dependent on her family for every day tasks due to total blindness to independence! A patient from Oudtshoorn received cataract surgery to both eyes and her life changed dramatically. The excellent, caring team at Eerste River Hospital made her experience wonderful. #𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀

MANDELA-DAY flashback

Radiance Foundation’s Dr David Steven headed up a surgical team to operate on 38 patients with the help of the Atlantic Eye Foundation and Humanity First.

The patients came from Atlantis (with the help of Frederick Jansen, an optometrist in the area), Eersteriver Hospital and New Somerset Hospital, helping to reduce their long waiting lists for surgery.

On Saturday, 9 May, another 20 patients received cataract surgery through Radiance Foundation.

Some had to be assisted on their way in due to blindness, but could walk out unaided with their sight restored!
