Ladies Circle is an international service organisation, locally represented by Shiraz Ladies Circle no 8. We are based in the Tygerberg area with our current members hailing from various Northern Suburbs areas. Our motto is “Friendship and Service”, and our members are professional ladies in the 18-45 age group. In South Africa there are currently 10 active Circles nationally, with Shiraz Ladies C
ircle no 8, Garden Route Ladies Circle no 20 and Swellendam Ladies Circle No 22 being active circles in the Western Cape. Shiraz LC chose their name and logo to represent the grapes in their beautiful region. Ladies Circle International has a total membership of approx 16000, and present in 34 countries and four continents (Africa, Asia, Europe and North America). Our membership comprises of young and like-minded professional ladies who have come together to make a difference in the lives of the needy through community service and project support. We also make a difference to our own lives through the discovery of unlimited friendship at local, national and international level. Our wonderful and exciting organization is above matters of politics, race or creed. A rich diversity of professions, occupations, nationalities and personal characters coupled with a desire to work for charity and make new friends at every opportunity makes Ladies’ Circle International a unique global service club. Ladies Circle International is also affiliated to the international organisation Round Table. We have an international commitment between Round Table International and Ladies Circle International to work side by side with each other on projects and in the community.
