MATCH Foundation "make a tennis champion"

Our aim is to provide talented young players, particularly from disadvantaged backgrounds, with the opportunity to become tennis champions.

Founded by Anthula Markovitz in 2014, the inspiration behind the name MATCH was motivated by her desire to: "Make an African Tennis Champion". MATCH sponsors talented young tennis players whose potential would otherwise go unrealised due to previously disadvantaged and currently challenging financial circumstances. In partnership with the Anthony Harris Tennis Academy, MATCH provides funding for t

alented young players to participate in a world class High Performance Program, and achieve excellence on an International level. In parallel, we support their educational growth so they are prepared academically to take up tennis scholarships at top universities and colleges worldwide. This is achieved through a tailor-made Academic Learning Program that allows players the flexibility to combine academic learning with the training and travel demands needed to “make a tennis champion.” We are appealing to both Corporates and individuals to share our passion and help bring the dreams of these children to fruition. Another strong international result for Siyabonga Jaca. 🎾👏

Siyabonga finishes runner-up in the Boys’ Doubles at the ITF World Tennis Tour J60 Kigali in Rwanda, adding another impressive result to his time on court in Kigali.

Competing at this level is about more than the final result. Every match brings experience, pressure, learning and another opportunity to grow.
