Onto the next chapter! 🖤❤️🤍

Lamla is one of our Connect Day One athletes, and it’s been fantastic having him back playing in our colours over the past couple of months.

He’s an exemplary young man who’s made a massive contribution to the squad, particularly through his influence and mentorship of the younger props in our system.

We’re delighted to see him getting another opportunity in the professional game with the Leopards, where he belongs.

This is very much what Connect NTK is about, supporting players throughout their journeys and providing them with a platform to pursue their ambitions.

LEADERS ON AND OFF THE FIELD! 🖤❤️🤍

Congratulations to Steven Phiri, Head Boy of Tableview High School, and Tadiwanashe Zvirikuzhe, Head Boy of Bosmansdam High School, on this incredible achievement!

Proud members of our U19 rugby squad, these two continue to lead by example both on the field and in their school communities. 👏

Here’s to leadership, discipline and representing The Northerns with pride!

December is around the corner, which means it’s almost time for our rugby players to head to the Global Schools Challenge in Chang Mai, Thailand.🖤❤️🤍

We need to raise R40 000 per player to get our boys there. Help us turn a “i can’t wait to play rugby in Thailand!” into “I can’t believe that we’re actually here!”

The preparation has started.🖤❤️🤍

R40 000, gets one of our players to Thailand, and every training session, warm-up game and fundraising effort gets us one step closer.

The goal is clear. The work starts now.

67 DAYS TO GO 🖤❤️🤍

The countdown is on, but the fundraising deadline comes long before the boys take off.

Flights need to be paid for well in advance, which means the funds need to be raised before December.

With 25 players still fundraising their way to Thailand, every contribution, share and bit of support makes a difference.

Help us get the boys there. ❤️

Jason earned his place. 🖤❤️🤍
Now we have to get him there.
Picked on talent and character, not on what his family can afford.
R40 000 puts him on that plane.
69 days.

Nobody on this team paid to be selected…
25 players, picked on talent and character. ❤️
Most of them have never been on a plane.
R40 000 sends one of them in full. Smaller amounts are just as welcome.❤️

This is Guide, in his own words.❤️

He made a squad that flies to Thailand in December. Whether he is actually on that plane is still up to other people.
R40 000 sends him.

The road to Thailand starts here. 🖤❤️🤍

Yesterday, the boys took on Hamiltons RFC in our first warm-up match as preparations begin for the Global Schools Challenge in Chiang Mai this December.

A valuable run-out to get game time, build combinations and test ourselves, and we came away with the win. 💪

Plenty more work to do. The preparation continues. ❤️

Chiang Mai, here we come!
