Jamie and Jude were officially invested into the Cub Pack and are now fully fledged Wolf Cubs.

We hope you have the most incredible time on your new journey through the Jungle, growing, learning, and discovering amazing skills through play.

Jamie and Jude celebrated their special Burrowing Up Ceremony as they moved from Meerkats to Cubs.

They said goodbye and thank you to Rafiki and the rest of the Den for all the wonderful adventures they’ve shared.

They were then welcomed by Akela, who will guide them on the next exciting step of their journey with our Wolf Cubs.

We are so proud of you both 💚🐾

1st Muizenberg Sea Scout Group wins prestigious Tonkin Trophy for first time in history, achieving top Western Cape Scouting honour on meaningful Founders' Day celebration.

Today is a very special day. Not only does B-P Sunday fall on our Founder, Robert Stephenson Smyth Baden-Powell’s birthday, but for the first time in 1st Muizenberg history, we have won the Tonkin Trophy.

Since its inception in 1958, the Tonkin Trophy has recognised the top overall Scout Group in the Western Cape, taking into account performance and participation across all sections. It is a significant honour, and a true reflection of consistent excellence, deep commitment, and the living spirit of Scouting.

Thank you to every one of our Meerkats, Cubs, Scouts, and Rovers, who embrace the programme with such enthusiasm and dedication; to our adult leaders, who so generously give their time and energy to deliver an outstanding programme; to our Group Committee, who ensure the steady running of the Group; and to our parents, whose unwavering support makes everything possible. To the entire 1st Muizenberg family—your connection, care, and support for one another across our units are what truly bring us together as a Group.

Congratulations to all the Scout Groups in the Top 10, and to the broader Scouting family, for the dedication and heart you bring to this incredible programme. We salute you all ⚜️👏

🚑🚨⛑️🛟🔥

Last night, our Cub meeting was full of accidents & and emergencies! Simulated ones!

Cubs learned how (& when) to safely strike a match & light a fire as well what to do if they catch fire, by playing a fun game of tag, where they had to "stop drop & roll" if they were caught. They also successfully managed to "rescue a drowning person"and put them into the recovery position, as well as assist a "member of the public" after a bike accident! 🚴🏽‍♀️🩸

A huge congratulations to Ben, who was awarded his Leaping Wolf this evening.

The Leaping Wolf Challenge is the highest award a Cub can earn, and is a truly outstanding achievement.

Our 2025 end of year Christmas Party was a great success.

Our whole group gathered together for a boerie braai and salad bar, boat rides, pioneer christmas tree, Christmas ornament decorating, beautiful Christmas carols played on marimba, clarinet and guitar, finished off with a camp fire.

The absolute highlight of the day, was Father Chrsitmas visiting us all the way from the north pole and arriving by boat! He handed out some gifts and his visit was thoroughly enjoyed by all in attendance!
