I have constructed a list of things we will need for this project.
1) volunteers to help work in the garden
2) Any gardening tools such as spades, rakes, hoes, water pipes for the garden, hose pipes, taps, twine, mole traps, reservoir, water pump for reservoir, sprayers for the garden, seedlings, vegetable seeds, wheelbarrow, flower seeds/plants, binding wire, shadow netting. I have started a new veggie garden at Ruyterwacht senior centre. Old age sassa pensioners are members of this club. They have difficulty surviving on R2000 a month they have to pay rent ,buy food and clothes. Its a never ending battle to survive on this income. The senior centre sells a decent plate of food to these old age pensioners at R10 a plate ,but most old people find it difficult to afford. Therefore i have decided to start the veggie garden and a compost project . At this time we are only two people doing the work voluntarily with a zero budget. We already have a 5mx10m garden that we have taken grass out and turned the ground out. We want to get as much as possible done before the 1st August 2025 so that we can start planting.
