We are grateful for the warm messages flooding our emails and inboxes following the conference. Thank you for your encouragement, feedback and support. We see every message and will respond as soon as we can.

🤝🏾 CONNECTION, COMMUNITY & CONVERSATION 🤝🏾

One of the core objectives of Wear Your Verse has always been to create opportunities for young adults to engage with sound biblical teaching, connect with ministries and organisations serving in their local context, and participate in meaningful conversations about faith, culture and life.

This year, we were encouraged to welcome attendees from over 50 churches across Cape Town and beyond. We were equally encouraged by the number of people who joined us who do not necessarily attend church regularly but were willing to enter the conversation, listen, ask questions and engage respectfully.

Through our exhibitors, attendees were introduced to ministries, organisations and opportunities available within their communities. Through fellowship and networking, new relationships were formed and existing ones strengthened.

While music, dance and artistic expression played an important role in celebrating our diverse cultures and experiences, the heart of the conference remained the conversation itself. Over an hour was dedicated to music and performance, while an hour and a half was devoted to the panel discussion on African Spirituality, Identity and Faith.

One piece of feedback we heard consistently was that the discussion could have continued much longer. We agree.

The level of engagement, the quality of the questions and the desire for deeper conversation reminded us that these discussions matter. By God’s grace, we will continue working to create more space for these conversations in the future.

Thank you to every exhibitor, attendee, speaker, volunteer and ministry partner who contributed to making this year’s conference such a meaningful gathering.

Soli Deo Gloria.

❤️ THE WYV TEAM ❤️

Every conference has speakers, performers and attendees, but behind every conference is a team of people quietly serving, planning, praying, carrying boxes, solving problems, answering messages, setting up chairs, testing microphones and doing a hundred other things that most people never see.

To the Wear Your Verse team, volunteers, partners, worship teams and everyone who played a part in making the 8th Annual Conference possible — thank you.

This ministry has been sustained by God’s grace for eight years, and year after year He has used ordinary people faithfully serving behind the scenes to make the vision a reality.

We are especially grateful for every prayer prayed, every sacrifice made, every late-night planning session, every act of service and every willing hand.

And of course, we cannot end this post without acknowledging the newest and most celebrated member of the WYV family… 😂

A special shout-out to Emmanuel, who somehow became the star of the conference and has now officially been promoted to WYV Ambassador. Those who were there will understand. 😄

Soli Deo Gloria.

🎶✨ MUSIC, DANCE & CULTURE ✨🎶

One of the highlights of the Wear Your Verse 8th Annual Conference was celebrating the richness and diversity of African expression through music, dance, storytelling and creativity.

As we gathered to have an honest conversation on African spirituality, it was important for us to recognise that culture is not something to be feared or ignored, but something to be thoughtfully engaged with through the lens of Scripture.

Through the performances of our artists, dancers and worship teams, we were reminded that God has created people from every tribe, tongue and nation, each bearing His image and reflecting His creativity in unique ways.

Our prayer has always been to see young people united in worship, exalting the name of the Lord, while cultivating a deeper understanding of God’s Word and how it speaks into every area of life—including culture and identity.

Thank you to everyone who shared their gifts and talents with us. Your contribution enriched the conversation and helped make this year’s conference a memorable one.
