We know times are tough.
Groceries cost more. Fuel costs more. Life feels a little more expensive every month. And if making ends meet is your priority right now, we completely understand.

But while the world gets more expensive, our animals still need us to show up for them.

A small donation may not feel like much, but to a rescue dog waiting for a home, or a kitten needing care, it means everything. When hundreds of people each give what they can, those small acts of kindness become food bowls filled, medical bills paid, tails wagging, and lives changed.

That’s what Charlie’s Change is all about.

From being trapped in a hot box in January to cuddled up, safe, and cozy in May… ILO ‘s (now Leo) story is one we’ll never forget 🩷

Thank you to every single person who shared Leo’s posts, commented, donated, visited, supported, and believed in him along the way. Every share mattered. Every bit of support helped get him here.

Rescue can be heartbreaking. The difficult days can feel endless. But stories like Leo’s remind us exactly why we keep going,for the second chances, the safe endings, and the moments where a once-forgotten dog finally gets to rest easy.

Two puppies.
One wooden box.
One moment that changed everything.

During an outreach visit, Charlie’s Change found Goose and Ilo trapped in a wooden box in extreme heat, no water, no shade, and no way out.
Today, their lives look completely different. Goose is preparing for a new life in the UK, while Ilo (now Leo) has already found his forever home 🩷🏡

Their story is a reminder that compassion alone is not enough, compassion with action is what changes lives.
Thank you for believing in grassroots rescue work, second chances, and the power of showing up when it matters most.

Well, Charlie’s Change family… it’s a wrap. 💕🐞

From all of us at Charlie’s Change, Los Lappies, and the Kindred Market — thank you.

It’s taken us a few days to really sit with this journey, because what started as “selling a few little lappies” became so much more than we ever imagined.

We met incredible people.
We built friendships that became family.
We made connections that changed lives.
And somewhere amongst the reusable cloths, coffees under the trees, biscuits for fur kids, and Sunday laughter… a community was built.

✨🐾 ONE OF THE MOST SPECIAL MOMENTS OF THIS JOURNEY WAS WATCHING ILO — NOW LEO — FIND HIS FOREVER HOME WITH BARKS OF JOY. 🐾✨

A beautiful reminder of what compassion in action really means.

The Kindred Market never felt like “just a market.”
It felt like a Sunday family gathering filled with the best humans, the best makers, and the biggest hearts.

To every single maker, supporter, customer, volunteer, dog lover, and friendly face who stopped at our stand — thank you for helping Charlie’s Change grow.

Animal rescue doesn’t happen in isolation 🐾

Behind every rescue is a bigger picture: communities without access to education and care, overwhelmed shelters doing their best with limited resources, and the power of awareness to connect it all.

Real, lasting change happens when we support both animals & the people around them. When communities are empowered, the cycle of neglect can be broken.

That’s where Charlie’s Change steps in, bridging the gap, supporting grassroots organisations, and building relationships that create long-term impact.

Thank you for welcoming Charlie’s Change – Compassion in Action and Los Lappies into your community. We loved meeting so many incredible people today and connecting with such kind, supportive vendors and customers.

To every person who stopped to chat, bought a Lappie, asked about our work, shared a story, or simply showed us kindness — thank you. You made our very first Willowbridge market feel incredibly special.

And in true Charlie’s Change fashion, Goose popped in with his amazing foster mommy, Caitlin, while he continues preparing for his big journey to the UK at the end of July ✈️❤️

Our Loose Goose, our golden goose, soaking up all the love before his next adventure. Aren’t we blessed?

We are excited for what’s ahead, excited to grow, and so appreciative to have been part of today.
