February was a wonderful month of love for the Flamingo Dogz Project.
After 2 years the Cape of Good Hope SPCA visited Flamingo Heights for a morning to engage with community members.
There is always some concern about the neglect of some dogs belonging to youth that do not adhere to general guidelines which can have devastating consequences for the dogs and the community.
It was my concern about dogs biting individuals that led me to invite Kay from The 4PAWS Trust to speak to some of the boys about her ordeal some years ago - when she was mauled by a dog, suffered extreme wounding and trauma, and lives to tell a brave and unbelievable story.
It is this sort of input from friends of IndiPam that ignites learnership and leadership and creates a rippling effect.
Bringing change by sharing stories and teaching by example is the easiest way to help show these children a better way and make them understand right from wrong.
If you would like to visit Flamingo Heights and share your story or testimonial please connect directly or email [email protected].
