Fahmida Harris shared her latest artwork, Maasha Allah 💐✨️

"I would like to share with you my latest test of patience, Algamdoelielaa. It took me more than a year to finally complete this acrylic painting. As you look at it from a distance, it feels like you are walking into Bo Kaap."

You MUST make some time to view our latest exhibition by Ihsan Omar, Maasha Allah! The exhibition was opened today.

As a special treat, The Mariam Parker Islamic Art Gallery will be open tomorrow 26 April 2026, from 11am until 16pm.

These are a few of today's reviews:

"... an amazing, beautiful, meaningful, thought-provoking exhibition. We have not seen anything like it before. Needs to be seen in person."

"Your exhibition was truly brilliant — honestly, not what I expected… it was so much more, in the best way. There’s something deeply refreshing and out-of-the-box in your work, and it really stayed with me."

"Each piece has a story which must be read and the whole exhibition is a complete piece of art."

"It is absolutely thought provoking, impactful and the message incredibly profound. There are so many layers of understanding."

A common message throughout was:
You have to see it in person!

Igshaan shared some personal thoughts about his exhibition:

"This was something very vulnerable for me - to take a risk with going out of my comfort zone, on my own, without any creative guidance,
Alhamdulillah. My December Umrah was the motivation for making a change in my artistic journey, Alhamdulillah ala kulli haal."

Thank you/Shukran to for inviting SAFIA (The South African Foundation for Islamic Art) to exhibit and offer workshops at the 2026 Expo.

Our artists were enthralled and honoured to engage with visitors to the Expo! They loved imparting their skills at the workshops, and enjoyed sharing their stories and inspiration behind each artwork.

We hope that those who purchased artworks will remain mesmerized by their chosen pieces and that they will add peace, love and beauty to their new homes. We make Duah too that these artworks will enhance their spiritual connectedness to The Almighty SWT, Ameen. 🤲

We can't wait for the next event, In sha Allah!
