South African podcasting wouldn't be growing like it is without companies like Kagiso Connect, who aren't just creating their own shows, but supporting the industry at large.
We are grateful and excited to announce that Kagiso Connect have joined the South African Podcasting Awards 2026 as our Sponsoring Partner.

With their support, we look forward to making the 2026 awards one to remember.

The South African Podcast Awards 2026 is now open for entries!
Please go to our website to check out all the categories, and enter your show.

This year, we're judging audio, video, and hybrid shows all together, on their own merits. To put it concisely, if your show identifies as a podcast, it's a podcast (ooh, controversy).

We look forward to awarding the amazing work that's been created in the past two years. Let's go!

Also, huge thanks to our headline partner, Kagiso Connect. Their contribution and support is helping us bring these awards to life.

"Adam Lipschitz isn't a professional athlete. He runs a commercial cleaning company and a property firm. He trains alone, no coach, no music. And this year he stood at the front of the Cape Town Marathon and paced Eliud Kipchoge, the greatest distance runner who ever lived, at the fastest marathon ever run on African soil."

The South African Podcast Awards are back!

Entries for the 2026 South African Podcast Awards open on 10 August.

Whether you create compelling interviews, investigative journalism, comedy, business conversations, documentaries or video podcasts, it’s almost time to showcase your work to the country.

This year’s awards include several important updates:

• Format-agnostic judging - audio and video podcasts compete on equal footing.
• A simplified entry fee of R100 per category, with free entries for different tiers of SAPG members.
• An extended eligibility period covering podcasts published between 2 November 2024 and 10 August 2026.
• Improved judging with more context provided by entrants.

We’re also proud to welcome Kagiso Connect as our Headline Partner for the 2026 awards.

Mark your calendar.

Entries open: 10 August 2026

"What does it mean to live a tapas life, to sample widely, to commit deeply, to keep becoming? Danielle Bowler has spent her life refusing neat labels, and in this conversation, she makes a powerful case for why she never needed one."
